IDC represents complete freedom of self-expression through fashion, makeup, wigs, body paint, props & costumes, character following a theme or style, dance in long or short form, comedy/drama/etc, serve as performance art, art pieces, ambassadors of play, entertainers, expanded minds, stealth synchronization & style.

~IMPROV: play, mirror, follow the follower, flock, stage pictures, comedia/emotion, give & take, true unconditional support, connection, flocking, the harold, deconstruction

~DANCE: flow yoga, jazz, modern, ballet, hip hop, krump, lyrical, burlesque, tribal, avant-garde, go go

+THEATER/ FILM:  silence, performance art, music, poetry, the moment, the secret, history, space, travel, technology, mechanics, synchronization, comedia, clowning, circus, creation, inspiration, ideas into reality

+DESIGN: unique, ever changing styles, use of environment, light, paint, creating art

Remember how Improv was once just an exercise done toward writing, Jazz was hidden behind sheet music? then the ART of it was presented as the show... and Improv Music & Comedy was born? We're trying to do that with Dance!!!

We look forward to expanding our group for further creative expression, to offer healthy mind/body workouts, the chance to showcase original music, fashion, new ideas and to continue to create films of our work to share with a broader audience. We've based our techniques on games developed through our own experimentation, as well as our collective education. We represent a mash-up, medley, brainchild, offshoot of numerous well-respected, established improv theaters, dance companies and performance art projects, yet we are completely original & wildly unique, our group, each show within our group, and each person within each show.

We would love to continue to travel, expand & share our company, perform and teach workshops to connect people on a non-verbal level, to inspire laughter & limitless possibility for spontaneous beautiful, silly, unique performance art creation worldwide!

After a couple of years of going on our own, 'rehearsing' wherever we can, from living rooms to parking lots, we're ready to step up our game and go legit by procuring studio space to host workshops & grow our group! We look forward to inviting anyone who would like to learn our techniques in workshops to have the chance to play regardless of dance or improv experience. We hope to eventually host the IDC as a community art project funded by donations. Regardless of age, race, income, religion, language, education, experience or body type, all will be invited & encouraged to play. We believe everyone should have the chance to experience how it feels to dance like no one's watching, while being supported & able to support others. 

Our group has evolved via the collective desire to meet & play without the pressure of choreography, extensive rehearsals & expensive costumes. We all loved improvisation in a traditional comedic & theatrical sense, yet were curious to play exclusively physically, free of words, unplanned, with music, as a group. We each love dancing individually in an improvised, freestyle way, and enjoy exploring ways to play together. Each show has a unique theme, but we each design ourselves. Every movement is improvised in the moment & unconditional support is given to all. Everyone has the chance to be a leader, take a solo & express their unique style. Many group games create a magical illusion of being extensively choreographed, when actually the 'group mind' (& possibly a loose structure) is the only thing planned.

We are so excited to share IDC & hope you will be too, by donation, from afar, through our films, in a workshop &/or onstage with us. We believe improvisation is by nature the most pure, in-the-moment, real & therefore the most interesting of art forms. The anticipation & excitement of knowing that anything is possible is show-worthy, and endlessly empowering for players, for those who dare!

Understanding & embracing the techniques of improvisation can help encourage confidence in all aspects of your life & work, no matter your field of expertise.

If we make this goal, the funds are going to be used for rehearsal space, event and festival entry fees, equipment for digital storage, anything we need to expand and be able to share the openness, versatility and inspiration that is IDC with as many as possible!
