About this project

Growers First is a non-prof committed to building economic sustainability amongst coffee farmers is some of the poorest regions in the world. They are located here in Laguna Beach and I have worked with them over the last few years to create photographs of farmers in Oaxaca as well as a handful of creative directing on some magazine/marketing pieces.

I will be photo/video documenting Hondurans in the rain for 5 days. SO stoked on this.

I love who they are and what they do and I want to come home on July 28th that will communicate
more clearly what it is they do and WHO they serve. These farmers are hard working, loving people who are generally not paid enough for their crops. They are being educated and becoming organic certified through GF. They are a part of co-ops, and have several partners who bring in wellness to these farmers' communities. Whether it be medical needs, water wells, clothing, or building development, GF invests in the wholeness of the community without taking away from their culture and who they are as a people. Providing tools for the people to do what they do better and therefore creating a BETTER quality of life.
