A personal film capturing the reconstruction of a desecrated cemetery.
Heritage
My grandfather, Walter Ziffer, a Holocaust Survivor, has invited me to travel to Cesky Tesin in the Czech Republic to help take part in a graveyard restoration with Action Reconciliation for Peace.
Through the years, between the Nazis, anti-Semites, and years of degradation, the graves are barely legible. He has asked me to go there not only to take part, but to film the entire project. I hope to make a beautiful film for the families of those affected as well as any who see the value in this project with its history and purpose. He has also asked me to take pictures of the graves for the families of those who cannot travel.

How You Can Help
I desperately request help for transportation costs and lodging while in Europe. I'm working with very little funds, but want to make the trip happen for my grandfather, for the affected families of the cemetery, as well as myself. The plane costs, plus the train to the town from Prague, plus food and housing for the two-week trip adds to almost $1500.
