Update #2: Thank you for your support.
Hello, everyone,
as you've seen, I have cancelled this fund-raising project. There were many reasons for this decision. Basically, the nature of the project and it's needs have evolved over time and I think I need to take it in a different direction.
But please understand that I greatly appreciate your support and contributions to this project. It's a project that I greatly believe in and will continue funding it with my own resources.
I hope you will continue supporting this series by ordering a copy at your local comic shop or mail order service.
I will continue to post updates and previews on this page and on our website:
www.futurians-avatar.com
Thank you so much.
Sincerely,
David Miller
Update #1: Well, We're Off!
In the immortal words of Grover from sesame Street "HELLO Everybodeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!"
It's taken a little longer than I wanted but my kickstarter page is live and I want to thank the people who have already donated. Your pledges have made the page public and more people can see it now than ever.
I'm very excited about the Kickstarter experience. Especially in regards to the comics medium. Comics is one of the few artforms created in the 20th century. Others like painting, sculpture, writing, etc have been marinating and generating their support base for centuries.
Comics is still something of the illegitimate stepchild to the artforms that have preceded it. Though I'm happy to see that perception changing as well.
And because of that fact, I don't see the people who donate to this site as "backers", but as "patrons". Patrons of the arts. Like Rockefeller, Carnegie, and Oprah. You're helping to bring about a new renaissance.
I will be posting regularly to this page. I'll rotate between print, video and audio to keep you updated on what's going on. Please stick with us. You'll be proud of what your support will help create.

For the past 25 years I have worked as a caricaturist, cartoonist, illustrator and publisher.
I have produced comics material for D.C. Comics, Defiant, Harris and others.
My commercial comics clients have included Bell Telephone and the Academy for Educational Development.
I've also worked at every major daily newspaper in the Washington, D.C. area and have held managerial positions in most of them.
I seek to push the boundaries of the comics medium by publishing experimental comics. The latest of which is "Understanding Women, The Comic Strip".
Peace,
David Miller
