Kickstarter

The final 24 hours are upon us, and we’re celebrating with a live playthrough of the original Zelda's second quest! I will be attempting to best Ganon before our Kickstarter ends, and David will be illustrating my journey. 

I played through the original Zelda last year before writing “Saving Zelda”, but I couldn’t tell you the last time I played the second quest. My memories of it have faded, and my skills are certainly no match for my 5th grade self. So prepare to watch me die. A lot. 

If you’ve never played, let me tell you: Zelda’s second quest is one tough mother. I want this to be a no-walkthrough, no-FAQ playthrough, so any help I get will have to come from you, via chat room or tweets. 

Here are the details: I will start playing at 9:00 tonight (pacific time) and continue tomorrow from approximately 11-2 and 6-9. Our campaign ends at 9:00 tomorrow night, so hopefully by then Ganon will be ash and Zelda will be saved, again. Or maybe not! Along the way, David will provide sketches of my trials, triumphs, and ignominious ends. My wife Ellen (new to Zelda) will also be live-tweeting from @tevisthompson, and I will jump into the chat on breaks.
