About this project

The comic has been written. Dozens of lawyers have read and re-read the script and agreed that in their legal opinion, this story is allowed for public consumption. We have obtained E&O insurance. And now we have A-list artist Jeff Spokes drawing and coloring the book - (both interiors AND exteriors!).

All we need now is some help and money to bring this baby home. It will come out after as a hardcover wide-panel book after first being sold as a six-issue series. We have a publisher and distributor already on board. It has taken years to get here.

The Story:

Back in 1984, Back to the Future shot principal photography for a whole month with Eric Stoltz as Marty Mcfly. But when they felt he wasn't the character they were looking for, they parted ways and reshot with Michael J. Fox in the lead role. When this happened, a young and upcoming actress named Melora Hardin (The Office) was cast as Eric's girlfriend. But when Eric was recast, she was too tall to be Michael J. Fox's girlfriend. So she was let go as well. The film went on to be one of the greatest franchises in film history.

Bob Gale, the writer and producer of the original films, said in an interview:
"I'll tell you, it was the hardest thing I ever had to do, breaking the news to Melora, because she didn't do anything to warrant being let go. .. I was sick about it for days. I haven't spoken with her in about ten years, but now that I'm thinking about her, I just might have to do that."
That one comment sparked the creation of "Back to Back to the Future."

The comic starts in 2010, 25 years after the first film came out, as Bob decides its about time to reach out to Melora and see how things are going for her. What happens next, is fate. Bob and Melora find themselves back in 1984, and given a chance to help Eric from getting fired.

The book we have written is a parody of the film series and a chance to bring the true events from 1984 into light, while exploring what time travel can do to solve regrets and missed opportunity.

Please feel free to suggest rewards that I may offer to better intice you to help out the cause. And of course, visit our Facebook group @ http://www.facebook.com/BTBTTF
