Dear Friends,
It’s been a long time since I released my last record, but I’ve been working on a new collection of songs and I’m happy to report that it’s almost finished. The experience has been challenging but richly rewarding and I’m very excited to share it with you.
It all started in a barn in rural Minnesota, where a group of great musicians and I recorded over a dozen songs together. The barn and the landscape created an amazing mood and atmosphere that comes across in the music and ties the songs together. I knew right that it would be the foundation of a great record.
We've been working on it ever since. On some songs we barely touched what was recorded in the barn. With others we kept the feel but took the songs in new and exciting directions. Now we’re ready to mix and master and send it out into the world, but to do that I need your help.
Half of the record is already paid for, and I’m hoping to raise $5000 by November 1st so we can finish it up. Your pledges will go to pay for quality mixing, as well as mastering and production costs. This will ensure that when it reaches your hands it sounds every bit as good as I imagined it would when we wrapped up at the barn.

I will write a song for you on a topic of your choosing. I will play it in an hour-long set of music at a private party at your house for you and your guests.
