Friends, family, fans, strangers, and then some,

On my journey as a person and as an artist thus far, you have all loved me and supported me in so many ways. Ways that I cannot describe to you. Some of you are my heroes, some of you are my mentors, some of you are my crutches in times of weakness, some of you are strangers to me, and all of you are an honor to share my life with.

And speaking of my life, exciting things are happening for me. My college career is coming to a close this May, and my time as an "official" adult is on the rise. Forward motion for me means thinking towards my passion and how I plan to pursue it. And I can not deny it: I must make music. I have thought long and hard about what that means and why it is true, but even after many long internal debates, I have always found my heart resolving the question of music as a career with a firm and deliberate, "Yes."

And thus begins my debut LP: "Your Voice; A Violin. Your Tongue; A Tambourine." A project that simply cannot happen without the support of others.

And thus, begins my kickstarter account; a place where all of us can come together to fund creative projects like mine and many more. I really believe in what this place is doing, and if you browse the site to see some of their success stories, I think you will see why I do.

With you involved, this project can be one of those success stories. All it takes is a simple series of clicks to "back" this project. And if you do, you'll see that there is a reward in return - a personal thank you from me, of sorts - for your investment. That reward could be a free download of the record pre-release, or some of my music that is not available to the public, maybe even a homecooked meal on me and a private concert at your house afterwards. That all depends on what you're interested in.

The only catch is that this is an all or nothing project. If we miss the goal, the funding is cancelled, each of you are refunded, and it's back to square one for me.

On the other side of the coin, the funding doesn't stop at $500. This goal is a minimum to give the project the skeleton of what it needs. If we go over, that means that not only will the record be finished and printed, but there might also be enough for merchandise (cool stickers and other promotional items!), touring funds, and other things that will allow me to flourish and grow as an artist.

So how about it? I believe we can do this. And it will all be thanks to you when we pull it off.
