Help us get our first feature-length movie made!!! Dark & Moody Productions wishes to bring to audiences everywhere - "DOWNCAST"

- STORY -
The story of the movie focuses on a suburban gang of criminals. Specifically it follows the group's hitman as he struggles to free himself from the reign of the gang's leader. In addition, we see how the other members are slowly coming undone. The script is filled with moments of friendship, love, anger, betrayal, redemption, and altogether poignancy. These people were once friends... soon they're going to be enemies.
Inspired by films such as Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance, Bring Me The Head of Alfredo Garcia, and Le Samourai; the story is a dark slow-burn, with sprinkled bits of ferocious action to tease you before the big climax at the end of the film!
- WHERE WE ARE NOW -
The team is currently in Pre-Production. We have already got most of our cast locked in and are looking to secure the funds to produce the movie this summer. Filming is going to start in June and the money will go to helping us continue through July and August. We want to tell this story with the utmost artistic clarity and we're in the final prepping stages before cameras roll, baby!
- WHY -
We are movie fans. We love film and we're making a story we'd pay to see ourselves or gladly put in our DVD collection. Numerous people have put hours, weeks, months of hard work and joy into it. Now we want to see this story as a film and we want to share it with you, the viewers, and the rest of the world. But we need your help!
We intend to give you as many rewards, updates, and other goodies to help you get involved in the project, keep tabs on it, or simply give you something cool to look at!

Christopher Jayawardena lives in Portland, OR. He is an aspiring filmmaker and videographer free-lancer around town. Having worked in various fields, such as writing, website-design, game design, trailer-editing, and more; Chris has built up a list of skills that he's putting forward in his efforts to become a maker of the movies.
Focusing primarily on genre-fiction, developing projects with his friends, and bringing a unique touch wherever one is needed. These are the things that define his work, along with a harmony of music and visual, and an emphasis on emotional content.
