Update #19: Seven Weeks of Sold Out Houses!
That's right - we sold out every performance of LA TOOL & DIE: LIVE! during our seven week run!
Sadly, we can't extend because of other shows booked in the theater, but we're looking into other venues as well.
As of today, almost all of the gifts have been mailed EXCEPT the jock straps. We're still waiting to get those from the sponsor, so any gifts that include the signed jock straps are still in process. We're going to wait and send the entire gift at once, and we anticipate that being this week.
All other gifts - If you haven't received what you chose when you donated to the project by next week, PLEASE let us know and we'll get it worked out. There are still a few of you that haven't answered our call for a mailing address, and we'll be trying to contact you again this week.
We'll also be posting photos from the production very soon!
Update #18: Cast/Crew photo
The show is going GREAT! We've sold out our first two weekends, and our presales for the rest of the run are really strong!
Here's a nice review we got from Stan Jenson of the OC Blade:
"L A TOOL AND DIE" is as close to a perfect satire as I've seen in a long time! Sure, there's plenty of manflesh flashing, but most important are the laughs, and writer/director Sean Abley has pulled out every device imagineable to keep those laughs coming. All eight actors tackle a multitude of roles, sometimes switching instantly before our eyes, and the props, costumes, and characters are choreographed to the nanosecond. Who ever guessed that fudgepacking could be hilarious? With any luck, "L A TOOL AND DIE" will become a late-night perennial in WeHo!
And here is a photo of our cast and crew!
Update #16: Jockstrap sponsor!
LA TOOL & DIE: LIVE! now has an official jockstrap sponsor!
665 Leather in West Hollywood!
They will be supplying all the jockstraps for the cast, as well as the ones we're sending out to those that chose the autographed jock from the cast!
Update #15: We did it!
THANK YOU for all your generous donations! We did it! $3000 raised for our production!
For those that chose gifts and/or tickets, we'll be in contact soon with more info, but in general - Amazon, the money "launderer", holds the funds for 14 days, and then it takes about 5 more days for it to be transferred to our account. At that point we'll be able to get the gifts you've chosen and send them out.
For those that chose tickets - some have already gotten ahold of us with dates they'd like to see the show. We'll be contacting ALL of you directly in the next week to confirm and/or get the dates you'd prefer.
Again, THANK YOU! We couldn't be more thrilled!
