About this project
For the past 3 years filmmakers, students ages 13-21 and adults 21+ have submitted short films 3-8 minutes long. We showcased these thought provoking independent dramas, comedies, documentaries, and animations entertaining the local community on a large 20 foot screen under the stars. We first started out in the town of Clifton but after outgrowing it in our second year we moved to the Workhouse Art Center to allow us to accommodate more people and ideas we had for the future. One new idea we implemented was webcasting our last festival live including interviews with the filmmakers before the films began! Winners received prizes such as Adobe Premiere, A Flip Cam, and gift cards to participating sponsors. Now we want to do more and every bit counts!
NEXT YEAR... We are starting new initiatives including workshops for students who want tips about pursuing filmmaking, more screenings, music performances, and a new section of 5-30 second shorts. YOU can be a part of these new changes and help make the Film Fest more than an evening event by creating a true festival experience!

Dani is the creator of the Clifton Film Festival, a local film festival for students ages 13 to 21 who create short movies which are shown to the community under the stars in the month of July. She graduated from The Art Institute of Washington with a Bachelors in Digital Filmmaking and Video Production. She is currently running the Clifton Film Festival, freelance directing and editing, as well as teaching film, photography, and social networking to students in the area.
