Hey R.E.,
If you get a PDF, you can print out as many copies as you like. What you do with them is up to you. ;)
Hi! I wanted to order two games as thank you gifts for my kids' teachers. How could I do this? Pledge $20 and print out two copies of the .pdf s? Sadly, I can't swing $60 for two hard cover books, but if I gave them the print outs and some dice would they be able to play the game with their classes?
Love the game's concept, by the way. I do creative writing workshops with kids from time to time and they love making up stories, but sometimes lack focus. Seems like a game like this would be fabulous for fostering kids' imaginations, while teaching them how to put-together a structured, entertaining story.
Thanks, Neal. BTW, There are sidebars in the PDF with advice for playing the game with very young children. Hopefully that is helpful.
I've been trying to hype HBR on my facebook page. Too bad I don't have more friends. I've also done some tweeting for it. Again, too bad I'm not someone that is known for something, although I do have some random people that follow me for some reason I can't fathom.
All that aside, I've been going through the pdf you sent out today and I really like it. Originally, I got the book to play with my son in a few years. I'm also one of the people that asked for a copy for my school district. I'm going to share the pdf and book with one of my coworkers who is being moved to the classroom now that they eliminated her position as a literacy specialist. I figured she would be able to use it next year, as long as she isn't put in a preschool class. And if she is, I'm sure she can make sure it gets into the hands of a teacher that will use it.
Wow, it sure has! We'll hit 100 in no time if this keeps up.
Wow, the pre-release pdf and the words about it at Ryan Macklin's website seems to have had an effect.
