Connected as Daniel Solis (295 friends)
Art director by day. Game designer by night. Runner by mid-afternoon. My two previous Kickstarter campaigns funded the storytelling games "Happy Birthday, Robot!" and "Do: Pilgrims of the Flying Temple." I hope to repeat that success with Writer's Dice!
Fantastic, Leslie! I'm glad you like it. Hope you enjoy playing it, too!
Just wanted to let you know that all that Do goodness arrived… three weeks ago . い'm so pleased to have been a part of such a downright pretty project.
Ah! I accidentally didn't send the link to the $30 backers. Sent now!
I don't see anything in my spam folder. I didn't have any problems getting the main game, or even the "Hunt for Typos" version of the Book of Letters.
Nick, I sent a private message to all backers linking to the PDF. Check your spam filter?
Where do we go to download the Book of Letters? The email said to look on the Kickstarter page, but I don't see a useful link anywhere.
If you replied to the survey asking for your shipping info, that's where we're shipping. If you didn't reply, we don't have your info. :P
Just a quick query: When you send out the hard copies, where do you pick up the address from (and when do you get it)? I'm going to be moving house in the next month. I've already updated Amazon with my new address, but I'm not sure if you will have already got the address from Amazon when the payment was made.
Woaw ! I couldn't have do better than you for the choice of citizen : I am effectively a living algorithm, due to my degree in AI ^_^
Thanks you Daniel, this book looks so great !!!
Congratulations ^^
I'm really excited and hope that it'll get much more expansions, because it's the best game concept I've ever seen.

P.S.: I regret to have bought an handy which just supports MIDI ringtones. Else I would have Fred Hicks laugh now on it!
We juuust barely missed summiting Olympus Mons. We would've had to reach 25k. But we got close enough that Fred wrote his Martian letter anyway. :)
Congrats to the whole team! We're all looking forward to it and I'm one of those old schoolers that loves to feel the paper between my fingers so the hard cover copies are going to be /awesome/ - thanks again and thanks for letting us be a part of it on Kickstarter!
It's hard to tell from the last pic. Was Olympus Mons height reached?
hey, congrats, guys! if it's even half as good as your other stuff, it's worth twice the cover price!
Dear Pilgrims, Congratulations! After some payment issues, it's all good, pledged and paid. Thank you for keeping up with the updates and videos. Quite a fun, interesting involving process. Can't wait for my copy!
Congrats, Daniel. I look forward to leafing through my copy and getting the friends together to play it.
Every time I get an update on this project it makes me want to listen to the band The Dø (pronounced as in "Doe, a deer, a female deer")
We appreciate every pledge, guys. Thanks soooo much. We hope to do you proud. :)
I am a current teacher in Beijing China. Shipping things is a pain, and storing them is almost as bad. 50% of my decision to help was based on your support of PDF. I gave more to get the hardcover sent to my family, but I'm sincerely looking forward to the pdf and trying this game out!
I have almost no disposable income, but I am glad to pledge $10 for the pdf game
A little over a day left to go. If we can hit $25k by the end (which hits Olympus Mons height on the graph), I'll write a letter for the Book of Letters that sends the Pilgrims to Mars!
The editorial process will start in earnest after the corebook is complete, so you'll know for sure then. It looks like most entries will make it into the book, though. :)
Out of curiosity, if we submitted a letter (or several) for the book of letters, will we get to find out if ours was chosen, or will we instead just have to find out later?
8 days pass so slowly TT_TT
Yup! $10 is the magic number for just the PDFs.
From the update that covered The Book of Letters, I'm fairly sure that any amount that gets the PDFs for the game in the first place, also gets the PDF for tBoL, so I'd say your magic number is $10.
Unfortunately, I'm not 100% sure on that.
Is there some magic number to pledge if i want the game and expansion, but only as PDF?
The descriptions are epic!
I especially like Matthew Broome's
It's actually really frightening how correct the descriptions are he comes up with. Friend of mine pledged as well and we both just kind of looked at each other when we read it.
Glad you dig it! The names are a team effort from the all the Evil Hatters. :)
Daniel, I just saw my description. You are an evil, evil man! :D
I'm thinking there's decent odds on 500 backers, too. Not a sure thing, but definitely doable.
I'm astonished.
She was right. $20k+
I heard about this on Jenn Wong's podcast...Otherwise I never would have known!
Thanks Alfredo! I also noted your choice of Creature in the spreadsheet.
Ok, so i've to add 10$ to value of reward selected. Adjusted mine alredy! Looking forward to read it!
Alfredo, your instinct is correct. Because of the international order, it would have to go up to $50.
I'm wondering... i've pledged 25$ plus 10$ to get the book sent internationally. If I add 5 to round it up to 40, would i get the Book of letters printed as well? My dubt is mostly because of the 10$ added for the international mail
We're amazed, too. And we're only just now in the second half of the campaign. :P
The success of this funding is blowing my mind away. Congrats!
Short answer: Yep! I just want to make sure your special case doesn't get lost in the shuffle.
It's Cool... I just wanted to know if I donate more than the level can I get more than one name included (i.e. $70 = 1x40, 3x10)?
Hey James, sorry for the delay. I'm going through quite a few messages, as you might imagine. :)
Hey Daniel, I sent you a message via the system not sure if you saw it.
Congratulations, John! Enjoy it in good health.^_^

Man, this thing keeps marching on. Go, Do, go!
I know for a fact that you're giving Tim a huge grin, Evan. ^_^
I have been intrigued by this game since I listened to Tim Rodriguez interview Daniel on Dice + Food + Lodging. The fact that the pledges here are going sky high are well deserved given the talent involved in this project. I am glad to get in near the start (or is that "kickstart").
