Our Project

Supa Pirate Booty Hunt is an independent animated webseries about the adventures of Captain Zack Stevers, a wannabe rock ‘n roll pirate, and Daniel the turtle as they search the seas for what else booty. But our upcoming episode promises to reach new heights and for that we need the help of our friends at Kickstarter!  Our new episode “Metal In My Shell” will feature Dave Mustaine of Megedeath who will face off against Zack and Daniel in a rock-off that will warp the boundaries of time and space!!

Why We Need Your Support

Animation is a very time consuming endeavor.  As an independent studio we have no backing and everyone has been putting in their time for free.  We hope to eventually bring the show to television but first need to build up a large audience.  To do that we need to produce episodes independently and offer them for free online but that can only be done with the support of generous backers. Although we have come very far we still have a long way to go.  Even if you choose not to back our project please check out our episodes and give us your feedback. 

Rewards

As a group of artists, I feel we have come up with some very creative rewards for our backers.  We want to give our backers the chance to GET ANIMATED and be drawn as animated characters in the cartoon itself and star alongside Dave Mustaine, Captain Zack Stevers and Daniel the Turtle!

What the Money is Used For

  Depending upon how much we raise we will be able to do the following:

  • Minimum of $2,500.  This is our initial goal for Kickstarter although we definitely hope to go higher.  At this level we will be able to record our voice actors in a professional studio, finish our animatic, character construction, backgrounds, animation and editing.  This would be incredible!! 
  • $5,000.  At this level we will be able to do much more exciting animation. This will include more full 2-D animation, camera moves, 3-D elements and the addition of new characters. This will be the best animation our show has ever seen!     
  • $10,000. At this point we would be able to produce and print a comic book version of the animation. The comic will be giving as a free incentive for fans to watch the show.  And of course, all backers will be given a copy of the comic book as well!   
  • $15,000+ There is no limit!  We have scripts for many, many more episodes of Supa Pirate Booty Hunt. We will at last be able to hire the crew to produce additional episodes which will continue to be free online to all! Our dreams will come true!

FAQ

  • What are the speaking roles available in the project and would my character interact directly with Dave Mustaine?
    We have a couple different characters written into the script and several of them do interact directly with Dave Mustaine. Here are some of the parts I have written:-Roadie Character:  Dave's roadie who takes his guitar from him at the end of the show. His line is "Great show Dave, you were on fire!" Then the guitar bursts into flames and the roadie dashes off stage. -Obsessive Fan. Dave talks about blood donation. A fan leaps on stage next to him and yells "You can have all my blood Dave!"  Dave calmly whistles and a security guard lifts the fan up, removing him/her from stage. -Cheering Fans: Several fans off stage yell cheers to Dave. There are other speaking parts as well and we are happy to work with you if you have something specific in mind we can write it into the script.
