Greetings from India!

If you've been following on Facebook, you've probably seen my talk to the hand picture.

Truth be told, I've been heads-down in development with the team to ensure that we hit our delivery dates for the COOKOO app, the Connected Device API, the COOKOO keychain, and of course the COOKOO watch.  

In fact, I'll be traveling to Hong Kong shortly to support the build of our latest COOKOO watch prototypes and our first batch of pre-production COOKOO keychains!

The good news, is that things are progressing well.

We've pulled-in some great talent who are helping us polish-up the COOKOO app which we plan on shipping to the app store by early September.  While we anticipate another release before the watch ships, it will give you a chance to download the app and enjoy some of the experiences even before you receive your COOKOO watch and/or keychain(s).

By now you should have also responded to the survey.

If you have not, please do so ASAP as we are finalizing orders, and are actively planning the logistics for shipment.

300k Means Music Play, Pause, Skip Support Added

Hello Kickstarters,

YOU DID IT!

You helped us hit our 300k milestone.

What does this mean?  Well, for those of you who have been following along, it means that you get music play, pause, and skip support from the COOKOO watch!

Our developers have assured us that we can do it, and now with your support, we will.

Here's how it will work.

Using the Connected App™ you will be able to choose which actions you want your COMMAND button to perform.  

There are three button actions:

  • Short Button Press (0-3s)
  • Medium Button Press (3-6s)
  • Long Button Press (>6s)

These can be associated with actions.  For example:

  • Short Button Press -> Play/Pause
  • Medium Button Press -> Skip
  • Long Button Press -> Find my phone

or

  • Short Button Press -> Drop a pin on the map
  • Medium Button Press -> Play/Pause
  • Long Button Press -> Facebook Check-in

When the camera is enabled in the app, then a Short Button Press releases the shutter.

As always, we love to hear from you, so let us know if you see something that we can do to improve the experience before we launch.

The COOKOO Watch Just Got Stronger!

Hello Kickstarters,

Team and I have been working non-stop on some something that just came through today and I just had to share it with you!

The COOKOO watch will now be water resistant to 5 ATM (was 3ATM previously)!

We have just learned that by using a special, stronger mineral crystal (read more expensive) we can achieve 5ATM water resistance.  

Of course, in keeping with our policy of ensuring that we offer the best possible product we decided to splurge on the better crystal and create a stronger watch in the process.

Please tell all of your friends!  

If any of you were on the fence about the COOKOO watch on account of its water resistance, hopefully this is just what you needed to hear to make up your mind...  

With only 23 hours to go, don't delay any longer.  We can make 300k yet!
