Been awhile since I posted here. After contacting the people at Edge, they had me send back my Edge and it took a couple of weeks but they sent me a new one. The new one works great. I think the problem with the old one was the charging receptacle became loose and kind of fell into the housing a bit. Anyway I did miss it while it was gone and I'm happy to have it back. Thank you edge!

I'm having a problem with my EDGE.sound. It won't charge and the charging receptacle seems to have kind of pushed into the speaker box. It's been fine until today, when I went to use it it didn't have a charge despite it being plugged in last night. When I plugged it in I didn't realize there was anything wrong. I've been using it mostly for watching video on my iPad around the house and I've been happy with it. Also we use if for music sometimes.
Please help, I need to have this repaired or replaced. We need this thing to work please.

I have a Logitech mini boom box and a jambox (for comparison sake) and I feel that the sound quality still loses out to the slightly cheaper Logitech. Muffled and blurry are the two words i can use to describe it. Can't even go above 50% volume on the cubedge because the vibration (from the grills or something) just sends chills down the spine. Also, the on/off switch is a hit/miss thing. While packaging is neat and well-thought through, I will gladly settle for a simple card box package. Might as well channel the funds to a better set of drivers or a better working switch.

Have to say that i am really impressed with the sound for the size. It will be great when travelling as hubby and l love playing music via our iphones, and if we do go away for more than a week we usually "lug" our Bose along. While this may not quite be Bose quality, for the size and convenience its just great.
Thanks to the Cubedge team for honouring the KS early bird price, and as this was my first KS backing project l am so glad l got a product, as so many people say that they don't...!!

After using it for a few more days I will say that I quite like it for listening to voice podcasts. There the lack of bass is not an issue. The small size lets me easily carry it around the house when doing chores and it connects to my iOS devices quite quickly and without any of the problems I've had with my Bluetooth headsets. I just have to remember to switch it off after using it. I have already had the battery go dead once from forgetting to turn it off.

Received my unit and the first thing I noticed was the grille was coming loose from the main body. I could see what looked to be die cut double sided adhesive tape, so I just pushed the grille back on, assuming that it just had not been pushed on during assembly. About 1/2 hour later, it had popped off again and will not stay flush to the main body. There is not much bass, and my wife says that the sound from the gen 1 iPad internal speaker sounds better. I do like the size, it paired easily with my phone and tablet and the box it comes in is a nice sturdy aluminum box.

I guess I'll have to be the skunk at the garden party. I'm very disappointed in mine. First, the build quality, which is generally good, gets a downgrade for the power switch. Mine doesn't turn off and on easily and the switch doesn't seem to click it to place like you'd expect.
More importantly, the sound quality isn't impressive. There is no bass to speak of. I know that I have to have reasonable expectations for such a small speaker but when I put it next to a Jawbone Jambox there is no comparison for sound quality. The Jambox sounds rich and has distinct highs, mids, and lows. The Edge.sound is hollow, lacks lows, and has mushy mids.
I'll use the product for audiobooks and podcasts but, sadly, it's just not going to work for music or movies.

I got mine yesterday and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised at how good the product looks. The packaging threw me for a loop because I thought that was the product and I couldn't find any connectors! After three minutes of puzzling it out I figured out it was a box and a very nice one at that. When I figured out how to open it I was even more surprised at how small the device was. Worked like a charm right out of the box with both my wife's MP3 player hooked up through the audio jack and through the Bluetooth connection on my Android. I'm very happy with the product and glad I backed it for the Kickstarter discount!

CUBEDGE team here. We are excited to inform you that assembly of EDGE.sound is about to begin with all the parts and supplies arriving at our ODM factory in South Korea. We expect the production of first batch to be completed on 8/31, and have all necessary certifications, like FCC, by 1st week of September. We will airship the batch to the CUBEDGE warehouse in Austin, Texas. I got a question since I linked my debit to my PayPal for paying. Before when I backed this project and pledge on it, it already took $99 on my account then today when I clicked the preorder button in the link you sent me I actually had to pay for it again. Does this mean I was billed twice??? Cause it already took the money from my debit card. So it shows up as two purchases...

2. Yes, you can also charge via other main devices USB port. It would just take longer time than wall charger.

@Robert - it comes with a micro usb cable and an AC adapter. You can either plug the cable into a computer to charge the speaker, or you can plug the cable into the adapter, and in turn plug the adapter into the wall.

@Vince - the speakerphone quality is excellent. Rather than giving you my opinion, though, we are going to upload some clips of this feature in action for our first update so you can hear it for yourself.
@Ralf - fair point on quantity vs. quality. The only thing is it's hard to quantify quality. That said, we are working on getting different reviewer outlets interested enough to write about us. Our hope is to give you all more to go on than just our claims. Bear with us as we work on that. Also, forgive us for indulging in titles... I changed it to better reflect our functions. At the end of the day, we have all been working very hard to get this product to market!
