Camp Rolling Hills
Camp Rolling Hills is the story of twelve 12-year old campers who escape from the rigors of school and everyday life to embark on the greatest summer adventure of their young lives. Through Raid Wars, the Mid-Summer Dance, Campstock Talent Show, Camp Fires, Scavenger Hunts, and a curious case of missing underwear, the campers of San Juan Hill Cabin and Anita Hill Cabin make life-long friends, find first love, break the rules, and learn important life lessons along the way.
Camp Rolling Hills is a family friendly musical suitable to be performed by teens, adults, or both. Written for an ensemble cast of 8 men and 8 women (6 boy campers, 6 girl campers, their counselors, and the directors--a kooky husband-and-wife duo) with plenty of flexibility for an unlimited ensemble.
What You're Funding
We want to put together a preview pack for high schools, camps, regional theaters and performance groups.
We need funds for:
- Demo recording (including studio time, mixing, and any actors or musicians we need to hire)
- Printing of scripts and librettos
- New, revamped website
We want to send these preview packs to interested theaters across the country, or anyone looking for original musicals from up-and-coming artists.

If you are a high school, camp, regional theater, or performance group, and you are interested in putting on Camp Rolling Hills, we want to hear from you! You can contribute to this Kickstarter campaign and receive a full or partial preview pack as a reward. About Spiegalion Theatre Partnership
The Spiegalion Theatre Partnership was founded in 2009 by Adam and David Spiegel. Yes, Adam and David are brothers. They grew up in Plainsboro, NJ and spent their summers at a camp in upstate New York. While Camp Rolling Hills is not the least bit autobiographical, they frequently tapped into those special camp memories for the inspiration for this show.
In fact, "Spiegalion" was a nickname bestowed upon David and Adam by their bunkmates! When David and Adam directed and musical directed the weekly plays at camp, their friends would affectionately call these plays "Spiegalion Theatre Productions."
In 2011, the Spiegel brothers brought in Stacy Davidowitz to contribute her unique talents and humor to the script. Stacy also has years of summer camp experience, and more importantly, is an excellent playwright. She's added a perspective to the show that David & Adam couldn't get without sneaking out of their bunks late at night and traveling over to the girls' side.
After years of hard work, we believe Camp Rolling Hills is ready for its world premiere. All we need is a theater. This Kickstarter campaign is designed to help us find one.
