Huge news for the show this week -- Camp Rolling Hills is a finalist for the New York Music Theatre Festival's Next Link Project! We're 3 weeks away from an amazing opportunity for our show!

Should we be accepted, we will begin a process of looking for partners to invest in and produce a full-scale off-broadway run of at least 6 performances in July 2013. We are looking forward to receiving NYMF's final decision January 31.

Hi Backers -

First off, we hope this update finds those of you in the NY area relatively well and recovering from this week's superstorm. We'd like to take a moment to update you on some exciting new things happening with Camp Rolling Hills.

Demo Recording DONE

We've finished our demo recording! Thanks so much to Jim Morgan, our studio engineer/electronic drum master, and to all of our wonderful and talented actors. And of course thanks to you, our backers, whose donations made it possible for us to employ the services of Mr. Morgan and create a professional recording of our show. 

Submissions IN

In October, we submitted Camp Rolling Hills to The New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF), The Bloomington Playwrights Project, and the Stanley Drama Award at Wagner College. And a submission to The New York Children's Theater Festival is in the works. The professional recording you helped fund is an important component of these submissions. 

Adam Spiegel SHOWCASE 

On Wednesday, November 7th, NEXT (Now Entering The Crossroads of Theatre) is presenting an evening of Adam's music! Now Entering The Crossroads of Theatre is a concert series dedicated to helping talented new artists meet and collaborate with the most promising emerging songwriters. The showcase will feature songs from Camp Rolling Hills, as well as songs from other projects Adam is developing. 

The show will take place at The Laurie Beechman Theatre on 42nd Street and 9th avenue, in the basement of the West Bank Cafe. Tickets are $5 plus a $15 food and drink minimum. To make reservations, call 212-695-6909.

Hi Backers! 

The all-new professional recording you helped fund is well under way!  Adam heads to the studio today for session #6!  To date, all of the instrument parts have been recorded, and we're moving on to recording all of our wonderful singers. Thanks again for all your support - looks like we'll have some tracks finished soon!

Our new website is also in progress, and it will include all of our new recordings for your listening pleasure. Stay tuned for more updates soon!

And a progress report: 

We ran into a tiny issue with Amazon Payments getting the funds from our account there and into our bank account. It has been resolved and we will be able to move forward ordering your rewards.

We have already purchased the domain name www.CampRollingHills.com and have started building our new website. We hope to have it up and running by the end of the summer. 

Magnets and Frisbees are designed! We will order them as soon as our Amazon transfer clears. 

We did it! Thanks to some extremely generous donations from a couple of angel investors, we managed to hit our funding goal with about 20 minutes to spare last night.
