Helping to alleviate the overwhelming cost of traveling the West Coast and recording this EP.
We're thrilled to have finally gotten this all together. This entire project is a long time coming for each of us as musicians. We cannot say enough how much we appreciate you and your support. Every little bit helps, whether it's continuing to listen and share our music, the encouraging words and attendance at shows, or if you decide to pledge any amount at all..
We couldn't be where we are or get where we're going without you.
To help show you how much we appreciate any money that you pledge, we spent a lot of time coming up with appropriate, creative rewards for the various fundraising tiers (on the right). We hope you are as excited about them, as we were excited to come up with them, and follow through with afterward.
We know that with your help, this fundraising goal will be met!
Our timeline is the Month of February (the month of loooove and giving!).
Our goal is $2,000 with a bunch of great rewards/incentives.
So you know what exactly the fundraising is going toward, we've done our best to breakdown many of the obvious costs for this project.
- Food: 20 days at ($15 each) to eat =
$600
- Gas: In a 2001 Jeep Cherokee Laredo based on gas price (1/31/12)
- SD to LA= 116miles: $29.15
- (skipping towns in between due to limited usage by fuel cost calculator)
- LA to San Fran= 420miles (using 101 for tour purposes): $114.86
- San Fran to Lake Tahoe area, NV= 212miles: $55.67
- and back (total of the three above): $199.68 + cost of going there = $399.36 (not including the various deviations from the path to different towns/gigs)
- Cost of Merch (posters, stickers)
- Gear: strings, picks, cables, monitor
- Vehicle maintenance (oil change, tune-up, etc)
- Cost of making the CD: (for confidentiality purposes, we cannot share this exact number. However, we can say that costs like this typically include tracking, mixing, mastering, reproduction, packaging, artwork, distribution, etc)
Things we aren't including in cost (We'll do our best to take care of it!):
- Lodging
- Marketing
- Photography
- Promotion
- Booking
And surely there are more costs that we are forgetting, but that isn't really the point. We recognize that we will lose money on this venture, regardless of our Kickstarter campaign, but we wanted to offer you the opportunity to be a part of this journey with us! Thank you thank you thank you..
