Update #1: April 15 Update
I want to thank everyone who has supported this project so far, the feedback has been wonderful!
Novelty is coming along splendidly; it will be a mixture of existing work, new work created in my studio, new work created on site and murals painted specifically for this show. As you can see in the new picture I've uploaded, I have a photosketch of the mural I will likely paint on the wall of Redux. We are planning several events during my residency, including a screening of a roller derby documentary and discussion with the Lowcountry High Rollers, a workshop led by myself, and possibly a skating parade to kick off the show. I also want to thank the folks at Sugar Bakeshop for their interest and participation in my project.
As the Kickstarter deadline is quickly closing in, you will notice that we still have a long way to reach our goal. Remember that this is an all-or-nothing fundraising tool. In order to receive your pledge reward, we must raise the entire amount, so please spread the good word to everyone you know. Donations can be as little as $1 and those dollars can add up quickly.
Thanks!
Cory
