"Put me on eggs and call me breakfast"- Salty Sal

Hello my name is Corey "Core Dejour" Ross and I'm the creator, writer and artist of, A Salt n Battery the comic book.

A Salt n Battery is the story of 2 intergalactic bounty hunters that chase down villainous aliens.Villainous Aliens that have taken refuge here on earth in the form of inanimate objects. In order to take them down Sal n Terry have taken on the form of inanimate objects as well. Thus A Salt n Battery was born. Salty Sal is the weapons expert and Battery Terry is a martial arts master. 


In their adventures they'll meet some new allies and take down some bad guys. This comic book is an all ages, unique combination of humor and action by way of martial arts and awesome shoot outs. 


In preparation for the 2012 Phoenix comic con Ive put together a signed and numbered limited edition ashcan comic book. This ashcan is half the size of a standard comic and is presented in glorious black n white pencils. It contains a full 23 page story told from a mystery characters point of view. Salty Sal and Battery Terry  encounter the Mighty Voltaire and his battery army for the first time. REWARDS
For one of the many rewards Ive created a kickstarter ashcan comic book. Unlike the original ashcan not only will it contain the 23 page story mentioned earlier, this one will also contain a sketchbook. It'll also be signed numbered and extremely limited. As a unique reward for my some of my special backers I will send you a digital recorded speed drawing produced entirely on my iPad.  I'll be drawing the character of your choice. This will be a one of one, personalized recorded speed drawing along with the finished picture emailed directly to you. (see my intro video for an example of a recorded speed drawing)



FUTURE PLANS

 I'm  currently hard at work producing issue 1 (entirely by myself) and expect to be done by August or September of 2012.  This will be a full sized black and white comic book with a new story and new artwork. This comic book will be 29-32 pages long and will be completely different from the ashcan and will be available in both printed edition and pdf. If I am able to reach my goal of $3000 it will allow me to print 800-1000 copies of a salt n battery #1. Any extra funds generated will go towards shipping the comics out to retailers, tables at comic cons and future production of a salt n battery


I have big plans for a salt n battery including toys, paintable figures, t-shirts, apps, cartoons and much more but that's down the line. Right now my main focus is to get issue one completed and printed. But in order to take that next step I need you the kickstarter backers help.
