practicing....laundry...practicing....packing....
today has been busy and productive. i can rarely say that i have both busy and productive days....thank God for mother-in-laws and moms who love watching their grandchild!
with that, i can't believe the time to go to nashville and RECORD is already here! we leave this saturday morning after benedict wakes up...which could be 5 am....could be 7 am....who knows these days, but regardless, we will be on our way to music city to stay in a cute little cabin with a white picket fence in east nashville. (seriously, a REAL white picket fence...pics to come!) our friends have generously offered us their place to stay while they house-sit in another part of nashville these two weeks in june. (i love them!) having our own space for benedict to take his naps, (cry it out at night and not wake up the friends we are staying with), plus a peaceful place for me to get rest after the 8 to 5 day of singing, playing, and creating is the icing on the cake! it was just another confirmation to me that this project is blessed. it was blessed from the beginning by your generosity to support it and it continues as all the little pieces come together.
mitch and i have been in lots of communication these past two weeks about songs, the band, and production ideas. i can't be more excited, and he is too, which makes me feel real good. (he has a grammy, people! and he is pumped about working with me! famous!) bottom line: we're gonna have fun and we're gonna produce an unbelievable product that captures the simplicity, beauty, and honesty of my heart...my art....my songs....and you will have it sometime this fall!
