FAQ

  • I simply included the most downloaded interviewees from the old show, race or gender not considered. Many just happen to be white and/or middle-aged, though — look closely — not all are. I considered deliberately crafting a more "diverse" lineup, but nothing makes me feel more wrong than selecting people based on their physical traits that way. Maybe growing up in the nineties instilled this in me. First they tell us never to even think about thinking about race or gender, and when we don't, people still object. Chalk one up in the "can't win" column.

  • You'd expect me to say this, but: on the contrary! As of this writing (eight or so hours into the drive), 22 opportunities remain for backers to have their personal projects or messages announced at the top of an episode, and two opportunities remain for backers to have their personal projects or messages announces at the top of EVERY episode.

And how 'bout this: for every $250 we raise beyond the funding goal, I'll produce an additional bonus episode in season one. So if we hit, say, $2250, I'll produce not 24 but 29 episodes this season.
