A dark and quirky feature length film about a British hypochondriac who turns to crime after becoming addicted to consumerism.
"Pinching Penny" is a dark and quirky independent feature-length film about a British hypochondriac who turns to crime after becoming addicted to consumerism. As his obsession worsens, his life falls quickly into the absurd and he continues to spend himself deeper and deeper into depravity.
Production for the film was primarily funded by writer/director Dan Glaser, and post-production was primarily funded by producer Paul Meyers. "Pinching Penny" was completed in June 2010, and is now facing worldwide distribution.
However, in order to attain distribution for the film we have to raise an additional $20,000. This final funding will be put towards:
1) Purchasing Error and Omission Insurance 2) Clearing the rights to the licensed music used in the film 3) Getting the film rated by the MPAA
Without these final components, distribution cannot be a reality for this project. If we can raise this final capital for "Pinching Penny," the film will be distributed on DVD and Blu-ray in such places as:
1) Major retailers like Wal-Mart and Best Buy 2) Netflix 3) Blockbuster 4) Redbox 5) Amazon
So many have put in thousands of hours and dedication into this project, and with your help and support we can finally complete the journey. So don't just stop at donating, but spread the word to anyone you think will be interested in being a part of this exciting opportunity! Your support has been overwhelming... now help us to make this final financial push and get worldwide distribution for "Pinching Penny." Your donation could make all the difference.
