Scratch is a new brand of nail wraps focused on good design!

From the beginning

Scratch was born out of the simple idea that nail wraps are really cool but most of the designs currently out there are not. 

Nail art is an incredibly fun way to add extra personality to your look and nail wraps help you quickly get a unique polished look without needing to be a master nail artist! It literally takes 5 minutes to go from blank nails to a fun pattern that matches your current outfit or mood!

As a web designer living in Los Angeles, I have met a lot of really talented designers, illustrators and artists that I knew could make amazing artwork that would be really fun to wear on your nails. So I decided to start working on looking for a good manufacturer. 

Since starting the process I have started to grow a team of talented folks to help make this a reality and have gone through rounds and rounds of testing quality and designs with manufacturers. So far every step forward we take we end up with better and better quality nail wraps!

What to expect from the Scratch Kickstarter 

The Scratch Kickstarter will help launch the initial design collection created by a group of talented artists and designers from all over Los Angeles! 

If funded the initial design collection will live on the Scratch shop at www.goscratchit.com and will be available as the signature Kickstarter design collection.

We all have had so much fun brainstorming and finding patterns we love that could potentially be inspiration for the initial design collection! We have decided to launch the collection with eight patterns. Two of the test designs we created for use in the Kickstarter video will also be available as a part of the collection.

So why do we need your help?

When I started this project, I was funding it out of pocket and working late nights to try and make happen. I've come to a point where to do this the right way and really make something incredible for all of us to share and create together, I could really use your help.

Funding will go towards the following:

  • Manufacturing the Kickstarter launched design collection
  • Packaging and Distribution to you fine folks!

Q: When I order a design... what do I get?

A: You will get a thoughtful and beautiful personalized package (We are sort of package design nerds over here!) that will house your pretty little nail wraps. The nail wraps will come in a package of 20 wraps, so if you mess up you have extra and if you are a nail wrap goddess you'll have two sets to use!

Q: So how's the quality of these bad boys?

A: Our nail wraps have improved in quality since the shoot and they now will include a nail file and cuticle stick! Check out the photo below to see them in their new wrapping. We also are always working hard to find better and better quality manufacturers. So they will continue to improve as we go!

Risks and challenges Learn about accountability on Kickstarter

Initial challenges that I have run into have been with finding and developing a good relationship with a manufacturer. I have had to contact multiple manufactures and go through rounds of quality testing to find the appropriate manufacturer that will be able to bring the designs to life.

In order to be able to complete this project I will have to successfully work with my manufacturer on scheduled delivery times and quality tests for all of the designs. I have been able to develop a good relationship with them up until this point which has made me confident in being able to tackle getting the designs developed.
