Hi There...
I just wanted to let y'all know that I will be attending GameStorm in Vancouver WA on March 24th and will be demoing Sunrise City to anyone who wants to give it a try.
I'll also be attending Emerald City Comicon in Seattle WA on March 31st and April 1st. I'll be demoing Sunrise City there too. Game designer Isaias Vallejo and design consultant Drew Sayers will be there as well. I'll also be on a panel on Saturday about Kickstarter Funding for Game Projects.
I hope to see some of you at these events!

Update #23: Production & Reviews
Hi All...So, it's been a while, huh? Well we've been busy and I think I have some firm news I can share to bring y'all up to date.
Panda Games has been printing Sunrise City like crazy, as evidenced by this pic of a pallet stacked high with zoning tile punchboards.

Sunrise City will be leaving China at the end of February in a container with Empires of the Void from Red Raven Games. The transit time is slotted for 45 days so, after US Customs gives a thumbs up, Game Salute should receive the shipment before the end of April. In keeping with my promise of advance shipment, Sunrise City should be in the mail to you wonderful KS backers shortly thereafter and well in advance of it being available for sale anywhere else. SC's official release is slotted for the end of May at Origins 2012 but it will probably show up in game store a week or so before then.
I received a dozen advance copies a few weeks ago and most of those went out to reviewers. Those reviews are starting to come in now, so click through and read or watch what the reviewers are saying...

When will the game ship for people on the "Aliens Invade Sunrise City" level? I just noticed that AF:F was pushed back to June (I don't get those updates emailed or access to all since I'm a backer through this games entry). I remember being told that they would all ship together but I'm itching to get my hands on AF and SC!

Clever Mojo Games is a tiny little board game design company in Edmonds, WA USA. We funded our premier board game, Alien Frontiers, through Kickstarter in June 2010, Sunrise City in October 2011, and the Alien Frontiers: Factions expansion in October 2011. Princes of the Dragon Throne is our fourth game project and we hope you'll like it as much as we do.
Simon...I see that you posted the same questions over on BGG. I answered them there so others could benefit from the answers. Here's a link...

Some friends and I did our first play-through on the weekend just past. It worked nicely; in the first round we figured out all the rules, and by round three most of us had the strategies down pat.
Also, we played with five players; we brought some poker chips in for bid tokens and a glass bead for the scoring track. On round 1 we handed out four zones and buildings each, but on round 2 and 3 we dealt only three zones and buildings each, to make sure we didn't run out of table.
Oh; and the build quality is wonderful, even if shuffling zones and buildings is quite a lengthy process. We ended up using the process of evenly dealing the entire "deck" into eight stacks, and then randomly putting one stack on top of another until we had a single "deck".
