Clever Mojo Games is a tiny little board game design company in Edmonds, WA USA. We funded our premier board game, Alien Frontiers, through Kickstarter in June 2010, Sunrise City in October 2011, and the Alien Frontiers: Factions expansion in October 2011. Princes of the Dragon Throne is our fourth game project and we hope you'll like it as much as we do.
James, Tristan, David, Anders, Bcubed, Picus, and Steve...Glad you all received your games and are enjoying Alien Frontiers!!!
I got mine too! I demo-ed it with three friends and the game is absolutely wonderful. Fun, fast-paced, deep strategically but accessible even for beginners. I absolutely love it.
Thank you for making this game!
Got Mine! YAY! Portugeese Postage is never any good that why it took so long! lol. Thanks. Gonna be playing this tonight with a bunch of freinds!
(Incidentally, I can't believe it took me so long to get my own Kickstarter account!)
A big THANK YOU to all our backers for being awesome all-around people! I certainly hope you all get as much fun out of playing Alien Frontiers as I do.
But what if supporting Alien Frontiers was just the beginning for you, and you want to support other fun sci fi games? Then check out Eminent Domain here on Kickstarter, another science fiction game project from fellow Arizona game designer, Seth Jaffee. The project is just getting started, but Eminent Domain looks to be loads of strategic fun! (Direct link: http://kck.st/bzStPk)
Got mine this morning in Taiwan...GREAT Timing!!
My birthday is on the 26th !!! Best Present EVER!!!
Hi there :)
Mine arrived 21 October in Denmark...Man I can't wait to play this game!
Also I did not have to pay any custom duties...
Roger over and out..
Mine arrive in the UK today. It is going to get played tomorrow.
It arrived today to that distant planet called France.
Steve...congrats on the good review from your wife and son :)
Played tonight with my wife and son. They both said they liked it and....would play again! That's huge.
My tracking number says it's been delivered to my office. I should be able to get it out of the mailbox tomorrow!
I know that this is premature since I have not received my game yet but ...
Are you going to fund the expansion (if you produce it) with Kickstarter and are you planning on offering the scoring rockets as an added bonus for the added players to those that help fund it?
PS: I just got an email with my USPS tracking number. Thanks and I am looking forward to running several games of Alien Frontiers at a regional game convention in a couple of weeks.
Yes, it is my intention to post here and in email when the orders begin shipping.
We expect the games to be delivered next week and then I have to box and ship 239 Kickstarter packages and 400 more pre-orders received since our project closed.
Anyone wanna come over and help pack boxes?
Hi. Will you send an email or update when the game starts shipping? Do you have a date?
Hi Luis...Sorry...don't know how I missed your comment/question. Just email the info to me at info@clevermojogames.com and I'll take care of it.
I still need to change my shipping address...
I need to change the shipping adress... what should i do?
Yes Alexander. They are working on getting the green die to be the same color as the green domes. It's a little difficult because the dice are being made at a different factory then the domes, so they can't put them side by side to compare.
I did like the translucent dice you had in the prototype over the opaque. Are you going to get the green closer to the dome color?
Thank you one and all for your support of our project. We've far exceeded our original goal of $5,000 and the game is in the hands of Panda Game Manufacturing, now. Can't wait to see how it progresses!
I can't believe I almost missed out on this wonderful opportunity to be part of the whole process for you guys. The artwork is fantastic and I can't wait to get my hands on a copy and let the gaming community here in Singapore try it out!
Howdy,
I wanted to post a comment after looking this site over and pledging to your game. I usually don't buy games if I have not played them but I wanted to participate in this endeavor. BGG is where I noticed your thread, and this idea of the Kickstarter and your video was a really novel idea and for that alone I wanted to participate. I am excited for you on publishing Alien Frontiers and am looking forward to getting the game in October/November before BGG Con. Looks like it's going to be a great game!
Thanks
[Tory Niemann]
Thanks Nate! My personal goal for this project was an even 200 backers, and you all made that happen.
Of course, I wouldn't say no to more backers... ;-)
Backer #200 here! :)
Looking forward to it!
Hi Luis...Thanks for backing Alien Frontiers!
I looked over your portfolio and you've done some great work. Congratulations. I look forward to getting my copy of Triumvirate.
Alien Frontiers is scheduled to be released in October, so when you have your new mailing address just let me know. We'll be keeping the updates and comments active here right up until the games are delivered to you.
It's me again...
I just saw that you backed Triumvirate here on Kickstarter. Thanks!
I worked on the game art of triumvirate too :)
Congratulations, you project is awesome!
I'm a graphic designer and also have a game, but i'm still negotiating to publish it.

Now, I just have a question... I'm moving to Canada in August... so if the game isn't ready till there the shipping adress will be different to the billing. I can change the shipping adress if that occurs right?
Joel, we're happy to have you on board as a backer and thanks for your kind words! Tell your family, friends, and gaming buddies...we'd love to have more folks join us here.
Even though I just backed the project I had made my decision almost a month ago since I discovered it ; ) This is the exact type of game I love: dice worker placement, and with one of my favorite themes, sci-fi! Good job with the game, it looks incredibly promising!
Ah...now I see, Well, I can't say that I'd turn that down if it happens...but even the double is amazing and we're VERY grateful for it. Still, if y'all see fit to boost us up to $15,000 then feel free to do so. Spread the word on BGG and Facebook, and your gaming groups. 9 days left.
Your goal was 5K. You have made a double already at 10K now we need to shoot for 15K! a Triple :)
I don't get it. Triple?
Triple,,, Triple... Triple.... !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think I can try and persuade a few if possible :)
Tristan...Glad you joined us! It is possible that all your gaming friends need their own copy of Alien Frontiers so send them over to join us here. ;-)
I really like the concept of this game and now i can't wait for it to be shipped!, all ready got some of board gaming freinds mouth watering about this, lol.
Welcome aboard, Zachary...and happy birthday in advance. :-) Tell all your friends about Alien Frontiers.
The rules on BGG were the last piece I needed. This looks amazing and if an October ship date still seems reasonable I think I just ordered my birthday present! Can't wait to roll those ships :-)
Y'all are truly amazing. Thanks for all the support and I hope you're enjoying the rulebook PDF.
10 Grand! A double, can we get a triple?
WOO HOO! I just put the project over $10k!!!
Congratulations on your project, the game looks fantastic. Can't wait to play it.
Wow...Alien Frontiers TIED with Dominion for #2....That's COOL!!!
Maybe I should have left y'all with a demo set so you could get more familiar with it. Next time we could have BEAT Dominion. :-)
Thank you again for letting the Dallas Games Marathon borrow your prototype and play. Because of that, Alien Frontiers was voted number 2 on the Dallas Games Game of the Month list for May 2010. Congratulations on a great game and being in such great company without even being released yet.
--------------------------------------------------------------
LOTS of ties this month! We GOTTA get more people voting. Anyway, here's our Top 5 (+1) for May...
1) "Runewars"
2) Tie! "Alien Frontiers" and "Dominion"
3) Tie! "Hansa Teutonica", "Horus Heresy", "Tigris & Euphrates"
Great list. Thanks to all who voted!

Hi Scott...As a matter of fact...I do have some more goodies in store for y'all. I have three more computer wallpapers ready and I may come up with a few more before too much longer. I also have an iPad wallpaper ready to go. PLUS...we just got in the LAST piece of art from our artist, Mark Maxwell. I'm not gonna say what it is yet, but is a very sweet piece and I have a hunch it will make a GREAT wallpaper for the backers.
Looking forward to the game! A long wait but we all know how slow printers are! :)
I was wondering if you'll be releasing more backgrounds for desktop computers instead of just for I-Phones? I don't have an I-Phone but would love to have those images grace my home and work computers. So far I think you only released one so far. I just love the art in this game and want to see it on my big 24 inch monitor! Thanks and good luck with the printing. Hope it all goes smoothly. I know many small publishers had a lot of problems with their first titles. Let's hope it goes well.
I appreciate the updates as well. Thank you.
I agree. They are not spam. It great to see behind the scenes and see how things are progressing. I am glad I backed this project.
Your Updates are not spamming, Conor Egan hits the point. It's interesting to read about so much enthusiasm, participation and anticipation, from producer and backers as well. Where else can one be part of a developing game, add comments which even are answered and implemented into the game? Keep going, David
Thanks for the heads up that the June 26 release of Kickstarter funds is the beginning of production not the shipping date. It is always impressive how products go from design to manufacture to distribution to customers. Although I would love my copy tomorrow, I will treasure my anticipation until the pre-holidays delivery.
Thank you for all the updates, they keep me visiting your project daily even though I work with Tory N.
[David MacKenzie]
Thanks Conor. I hope we're not flooding the Backers with too many updates. I'm hoping the updates keep the excitement level high but I don't want to be considered a spammer, either. :-(
One thing that worries me is the HUGE time lag between the printer getting the art and the game being delivered to us...it's likely to be September or October before the games are ready to send out to y'all. It will be a nice pre-holiday surprise but I want to make sure no one expects me to be mailing their game out on June 27th.
