Kickstarter

Hi, my name is Cirijaye. I am a singer/songwriter currently living in Portland, OR.

I am doing this kickstarter campaign to raise the funds to make my full length album in Nashville, TN.

Since I was a little girl I have always loved country music, from the funny and sad songs my parents would sing  to me so I'd sleep, to singing everywhere we went in the car. Music is the love of my life.

I feel very fortunate to have a great band and to get to play around town. I hope to tour in the near future.

Our funding goal of $5000 will pay for the studio, recording engineer, producer, all of the great players, mixing, mastering, CD artwork and design and finally having the CD itself physically made.

The songs will be recorded and produced by Andy Gibson, one of my favorite musicians, who plays pedal steel, banjo and Dobro for Hank 3, Bob Wayne and Wayne Hancock and is in high demand as a music producer.

I was lucky enough to work with Andy last year, on a shoe-string budget, on my first EP "Red Flowers". I was amazed by his imagination, musicality and professionalism.

I will be collaborating with my dear friend and amazing songwriter, Cole Fraley, on the songs.

Raising this money will allow us to create this 10 song CD, that I really believe in, the way it deserves to be made.

Any extra money raised will pay for the transportation to Nashville for my band mate, Terry Nicoles, and me, saving me from selling off all of my belongings.  :)

If we do not reach our goal, you will not be charged and we will have to wait for the next act of God to make this recording possible.

Every dollar counts, and just as important as pledges is spreading the word - on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and emails. 

I love you all and truly appreciate all of the support and love I have received in music.

Why are you going to Nashville? Why not record locally?

I have been asked this question a lot. Portland does have a lot of really great local talent, including the guys in my band.

I am going to Nashville, not because it is Nashville, but to work with Andy Gibson. Andy has a way of giving each song its own unique personality. He is a very talented musician and amazing music producer.

I first met Andy 7 years ago. He produced and played on some songs for my boyfriend. I have had a major music crush on him ever since. It's hard to trust turning your songs over to someone. With Andy, I love everything he does and I know my songs will sound how I want them to in the end. That is really important to me. Recordings are permanent.
