WHAT IS GLEN ECHO?
Glen Echo is a short film about a boy who catches men from his local pond and then convinces his mother to keep them.
One day a neighborhood girl notices that the boy has caught her father and she confronts him over the man, which leaves him confused and begins to question how he values and understands the relationships within his own family.
The film ends with the boy acting upon his new understanding.
Glen Echo is a surreal tale about the many different forms of the family unit, how love works within that unit, and of course fishing.
We will shoot Glen Echo for two days in mid July around Greater London. The film will consist of local talent, crew and will be submitted to film festivals across Europe/US. The film will be 5 minutes long.
WHAT IS THE FUNDING FOR?
The funding would go directly to camera/sound kit, transport for cast/crew/kit and to cover film festival material costs/submissions.

About 5 years ago I tried to make Glen Echo and was never happy with the end results. After a bit of script reworking, better equipment and time to improve as a director, I want to give it another go.
I really enjoy the story/concept/ideas around the film and want to share it with everyone the way I see it.

Michael A. Cimpher is a trained Producer/Director originally from Boston, Massachusetts. His past life involved building underwater robots, hiking over 2300 miles and barefoot running (which he still does every now and then). In 2008 he moved to London and acquired a MA in Writing/Directing at the London Film School. His films usually revolve around family relationships and/or zombies.
