Support production of this film!From the acclaimed, innovative post-rock movement of the 1990s to the challenge of being an independent artist today, director Augusto Contento's new documentary Parallax Sounds explores Chicago’s world-famous architecture and its relationship to the extraordinary music created in its midst. Twenty years later, key members of the post-rock movement - from Steve Albini to Ken Vandermark, Ian Williams and others - reflect upon their ideals, politics, and the survival of their art in the City That Works.

Original Soundtrack:
The film's original soundtrack was composed by Ken Vandermark, and will feature two new songs by David Grubbs. Steve Albini, John Herndon (Tortoise), Wayne Montana (The Eternals), Jason Adasiewicz (The Exploding Star Orchestra), Terrie Hessels (The Ex) and Nate Wooley perform on the soundtrack.
About Director Augusto Contento - Director Augusto Contento is the award-winning filmmaker of Tramas (Locarno Film Festival), Strade Trasparenti (Locarno Film Festival) and Roads of Water (Opening Night, Rome International Film Festival). Roads of Water, is the only film ever to be distributed by UNESCO, the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization. FilmCritica Magazine recently named Augusto Contento one of Italy's most promising filmmakers of his generation.
