A few guys who love to make music have reached a barrier. Help get their debut album off the ground and into the ears of the world!
Church Mice has been creating an 8 song album for about a year now. Through tracking inexpensively at gracious friends' home studios, writing, producing and recording their own original music, the band has finally reached the inevitable (and quite expensive) stage of mixing, mastering and duplication.
We truly believe that this point in the process, not unlike the others, is nothing short of an investment. We want to be able to pay the guys who do their jobs right not only what they require, but what they deserve. We realize that the talent residing in the ears of mix and master engineers is equally as essential to the freshness and originality of the final product as the songs themselves. We want this album to reach its full potential.
Assuming we reach our $2,000 pledge goal within the 30 day limit, the first thing that will happen is mixing. We want the mix engineer to be as invested in the project as we (you) are and are confident that the overwhelming smell of Benjamins BEFORE work has begun will better ensure the fluidity and punctuality of the album. After mixing is completed, the tracks will be sent to Memphis to be mastered by a fella with a noteworthy reputation as one of the best engineers in the industry. We like those kind of people, and also want to pay them what they deserve.
Whatever monies, if any, are left after the above processes are completed will be attributed to funding the duplication of the physical CD copy the album, the pressing of vinyl, and any outstanding New Media costs (iTunes, radio, digital promotion, etc.).
We cannot thank you enough for your contribution. Even if all you do is watch the video and tell a friend about the project, it is sufficient. We love this music, and we know you will as well! Thank you a thousand times over! xo
