Henry H. Owings is a writer, graphic designer, semi-professional heckler, BBQ enthusiast and dog lover. He is the Editor-In-Chief and publisher of the no-holds-barred chronicle of the music industry, Chunklet Magazine. He has been the guiding force behind two books that carry the Chunklet moniker: "The Overrated Book" (Last Gasp) and "The Rock Bible: Unholy Scripture For Fans & Bands" (Quirk). Henry is a Grammy Award nominee for box set design and a record producer for comedians Brian Posehn (Relapse) and Patton Oswalt (Sub Pop & Warner Bros.). Over the past two decades, Henry has also at various times worked as a booking agent, DJ, promoter, record label boss, and tour manager. When he's not busy with all of this, he plays whirlyball which is basically polo in bumper cars. Team Chunklet competes against touring rock bands and is currently boasting 61 wins and zero losses. Henry lives in Atlanta, Georgia with his wife, Sarah, and his two Australian Labradoodles Bun E. Carlos and David Lee Roth.
Received it today, fantastic package! Mark Stelmach is your best writer (I have to say that, he is my friend). Thank you very much!
Actually, you're only to pay additional funds if you failed to do so when you initially donated.
If you do need to pay up, send funds via paypal to henry (at) chunklet (dot) com
Just to confirm Henry, is the postage to Europe an extra $10 on top of the original $10 now we're getting a 12"? If so - which email should we paypal to?
Finishing up the layout as I type this. Don't worry, it's moving along. Holidays tend to throw a lotta wrenches in stuff, but we're on it. Trust me.
Any new updates?? :)
That's a very good point, Cheryl. Everything (as per usual with Chunklet) will be printed on American Apparel merchandise, so that's usually a pretty good bellwether for people to know just that. But I'll definitely keep that in mind. Thanks!
While not as important as a new baby or a house addition, a suggestion that would be helpful: When you prep to deliver the merch, choosing a size would be a whole lot easier for the ladies and other finicky folks if you provided the width of the shirt/sweatshirt laying flat on a table. That way, I can compare that width to something that does fit me, and pick the right size. And not accidentally go hip-hop in the process.
What's this I hear about not getting to choose sizes on T-Shirts and hoodies? OUTRAGEOUS! I already have a friggin' Chunker hoodie that's too big. Kinda hoping to get one that fits this time. aka, 'medium' and not previously worn by HO.
Yes! Funded.
it's analog feedback that has some sort of digital in the loop? very nice, I don't know how that was pulled off, some sort of mix of the two mediums. Two seperate video layers with some sort of interlope? Chunklets always got sharp video work.
you buy your video camera at that muffler shop on Milwaukee ave?
Cool camera work in your video.
After further plundering your project I see that Henry's got that swagger I recognize instantly. Loved your bio.

You're my first. Meager don't matter, it's the thrust of the craving to see you succeed. I'm a Georgia-based writer, Southern all over, and naturally ain't about to pass up this opportunity to spark my own upcoming project - a reprinting of my father's out-of-print, pseudo-cult-classic DEAD MAN COMING. I look forward to seeing what the next 14 days brings you and your hatchling...We can do it. Let me know what I can do to help. I'll obviously send out my psi to the world. Let's see what we can do, Chunklet. You damn sure got the spunk and verve.

I pledged $100 and I don't get to chose the size of my t-shirt. Henry, I promise you, if you send me a size medium I will punish you by sending a photo of what I look like in a medium t-shirt. its not pretty. You will need a unicorn chaser.
Spread the word on this Kickstarter project people - via Twitter, Facebook, etcetera! This needs to get made.
Lots of places to shoot machine guns in Georgia. When I lived in Athens I'd go here at least once a year: http://www.firinglane.com/ Don't know where a good range is closer to Atlanta, though!
Which donation level lets me shoot the machine gun? And what do I get to shoot it at?
Wish you were serious about the maching gun man....
