About this project

In 2009, I co-wrote (with Aly Bleistine), recorded and released (independently) a fun, upbeat Christmas song called LEAD US INTO CHRISTMAS DAY. I spent a few months prior to Christmas telling folks about the song (through my website, Facebook, MySpace, Twitter...) and was blessed to get 125 radio stations to add the song to their Holiday play lists. I put the song on an ep along with a new arrangement of a traditional song, and the accompaniment tracks for both songs. Just recently, that EP was nominated for a 2010 SAMMY (Syracuse Area Music Award). The song has a great "Beatle-esque" feel.

This year I have the opportunity to present this song to a much larger radio market through an established radio promotion company (CRW Radio Promotions based in Colorado Springs, CO). But this takes resources! With this radio promotion the song will be introduced to 125 CRW Signature Reporting Stations, 218 CRW Global Reporting Stations, 69 Radio Networks, 1,637 Christian Radio Stations, 159 Internet Radio Stations, 140 International Radio Stations, and 16 Local and National Radio Shows. The average cost of a radio package like this generally exceeds $1200-$2000, but they are offering me a VERY special price to submit this single this year based on my earlier achievements.

I am hoping KICKSTARTER can help me find the resources I need to introduce this song to everyone who is inspired by the Holiday season. The song speaks of the hope of Christmas, the magic of the moment, and the new light of the day. The beautiful thing about a CHRISTMAS song is that it can be a forever part of generations to come. I would be so humbled to see folks embrace this song as an upbeat Holiday classic. AND wouldn't it be great if you were able to tell your friends and family that you HELPED in making this dream (A Christmas wish maybe) come true? AND...wouldn't it be fun to parade around in a t-shirt that says I HELPED BRING THIS SONG TO RADIO!
