I'm still astounded. Still grinning. Still filled with awe and wonder and the adrenaline of knowing what lies ahead.

And I wanted to tell you three things:
First, if you aren't already, go become a fan of A Field Guide To Now on Facebook--so that you can continue to get updates about the book as it progresses after May 15th.

Second: THANK YOU!! You are a part of making something incredible happen. YOU. Every single one of you. Your support and encouragement and backing of this project is a manifesto of possibility. SO AWESOME.

And third: I'd love to open this up as a challenge for the next thirteen days to see how many friends we can collectively rally to become backers for just $1....

REASONS TO BACK THIS (SUCCESSFUL!) PROJECT RIGHT NOW:

An anonymous donor has pledged to match each new $50 pledge with $10. Do you know what this could mean? It could mean with 20 new $50 pledges, the donor will match them with an additional $200 and we'd be at our funding goal!

PS: Spent the entire day at the bookstore writing and scribbling notes in my notebook and sipping old fashioned root beer with a straw. I am THIS CLOSE with the proposal. But it still feels forever away. (Especially because of the breath holding.)

Half way there both in funding and in days. That is huge. And of course now comes the real challenge. The drum roll, the heart in my throat days where I cross my fingers that maybe, this project will FLY. How awesome would that be?
If this project gets funding, then I’ll be able to take a couple of months out of the crazy push pull with finances and carve out a chunk of time JUST FOR WRITING and creating.

Does that seem decadent? Maybe it is. But also, if I can do this, then you can. If you can help me, then I can make something to offer to you, to help you do whatever it is you long to do, too.
This is a way of starting something—for me, and maybe for you. Being a backer is about pledging your support for art, and being in the moment, and following your heart.

For you, there is only a little bit at stake, and nothing to loose. If this project is successful, you’ll get beautiful, tangible rewards. If not, you won’t be charged a thing.
