I'm an independent songwriter, bandleader and instrumentalist. I heart guerilla art made by people who do it for the right reasons (art for art's sake) An avid traveller and reader (Mark Twain, Anne Sexton), also can be a bit of a homebody. I grew up playing blues in Kansas City. MO and have lived in Philly for the last decade, splitting my time collaborating with friends on various projects and touring around the US with my band. Philly has an incredible arts scene full of great creative types in all disciplines- truly a melting pot of eccentrics and raconteurs.
Doing the things that make my world go round requires the hard work of a lot of dedicated and talented folks- so many people have helped me out on the road by offering a place to crash, a cup of coffee or kind word. By bringing my music to places around the country, I hope to offer other folks a window into what makes me tick and share with them a little bit of the way I see it. In short, you can't do these things alone- all good things stand on the shoulders of others and we are all more connected than we might ever know. This is a tough but extremely satisfying path to walk in life and has given me more things to write and talk about than I can get to in 100 lifetimes but I surely intend to try!
