Update #9: All CDs are distributed. Now, check out the new video!
Anxious to share the video for "Little Yellow House" with all of you. This is easily the most personal of the three original songs on DECEMBER -- and the most healing for me to write, record, and now share.

Update #7: Thank you! We reached our goal!
At the beginning of this project, I really couldn't quite figure out how, in such a short time, I'd be able to cover the costs of mixing, mastering, replication, and licensing rights for my holiday CD, DECEMBER. Even thought the budget was modest -- $3,000 -- it still loomed large as a barrier.
Kickstarter gave me a way to get enough money pledged so that I had the confidence to know my basic costs would be covered. And it worked! We reached our goal of $3,000.
Now the CDs are in stock and I'll begin distributing this weekend in San Diego and next week around the country. Before sending out CDs and incurring the costs of shipping and packaging, I have to wait till the project is funded on the completion date, November 25th.
Thanks to everyone for making this project a success. I think you're really going to enjoy the music that Drew and I created. And now, here's another clip from the CD.
Update #6: The CDs are here! Lookin' and soundin' good!
Finally! After several months of planning, rehearsing, singing, arranging, mixing, and finishing my own songs -- this wonderful moment has arrived. Drew and I can't wait to share our holiday CD, December, with you.
Just a few more backers will put me over the top on my Kickstarter goal. Then, on November 25th, Kickstarter will lock in everyone's pledges and, barring any defections (don't you dare!), I'll be able to send out CD Rewards to my Kickstarter supporters right after Thanksgiving.
Local Kickstarter supporters can pick up their CD Rewards at our CD Release Party this weekend. Everyone is welcome. This CD ( signed, even!) will be perfect for your household and for everyone on your holiday shopping list.

I just signed up for the $40. pledge - 2 CDs would be mailed outside of the USA. Now I want to sign up for a $60. pledge and 5 CDs picked up locally. I am having difficulty making an additional order. Please help.

Maybe the best thing would be to cancel the first order and then submit a $100 order -- in a not4e to me you could specify the 2 International and 5 CD local split. I don't know the ins and outs of the site all that well. :-(

Ann, you can use the Manage Your Pledge button near the top of the page and change your pledge to any dollar amount necessary without cancelling the first order, then message Chris to give him particulars on what you'd like to order. When managing your pledge, you do not need to select a different reward if you don't wish to and you and Chris both know what your changes are. If you change your pledge and then select the $100 reward, you would be the final person on the limited reward at that level, which means no one else could select the 8 CD/$100 level. Doing it the other way leaves that last $100 reward still open and accomplishes what you need done. Hope this helps.

Update #5: The CDs Arrive Tomorrow!
And here's how it will shake out:
The Kickstarter community has been so immensely important to this project that I will be fulfilling the rewards for local supporters as early as this weekend -- stay tuned for an announcement!
For out-of-town Kickstarter supporters, I will have your CDs, signed, packaged, and ready to go as early as the day after Thanksgiving (11/25/11, the deadline). You'll get them by mid-week--say, Dec. 1 or so. That should be plenty early for sharing this collection of music with everyone on your gift list.
I am planning a CD Release Reception for this coming weekend where we will be singing and selling and signing copies of December for everybody else!
I think this is a great CD. Working on it with Drew has been an absolute joy. I hope you will feel all the good emotions and musicianship that we have tried to pack into it!
Right now, the only way to get the CD is through Kickstarter or attending our CD Release Party this weekend.

Not just born to sing -- I think I was born singing. Or if it was crying -- you can be sure it was on pitch! I've had a life-long fascination with the American Songbook and hope that, someday, some of my songs may appear on a page or two. We have so much in our own experience to sing about.
Born in Kansas City, MO -- grew up in an Air Force family with four brothers -- lived in CA since high school -- make my living as a marketing guy, writer, and creative development person.
I now devote more of my energy and time to singing and songwriting.
I work closely with my friend and accompanist, Drew Massicot. My music covers a range of styles -- hey, I grew up in an eclectic music world.
I have one CD out, Bring Love Home, available through my website and two CD projects in the works right now -- a 2011 Holiday CD and 2012 Love Songs CD.
I look forward to working with the Kickstarter community to see what we all might conjure up.
