The Turrican Soundtrack Anthology project surpasses 100k !!!
Everyone, this is absolutely incredible... this is history in the making! The Turrican Soundtrack Anthology project has reached and surpassed $100.000 in funding. I don't think any music artist could ask for better fans and supporters!
This means that the album and box set can be made exactly as I envisioned it; a complete set of my music from the Turrican Series, arranged and recorded with modern studio sounds and even bonus versions with live orchestra. I had a feeling that this could be made possible, but I also had some doubts and the descision to go for it wasn't easy. In the end you all came through and made this an amazing experience!
I also have great news about the art: Halil Ural is now fully on board and will design a brand new poster and box set sleeve art. But even more incredible, we were also able to get an additional deal with the Kandemiroglu brothers (Celal and Ogan), who made most of the cover art for the classic Turrican games. They will create another poster, which will also serve as the cover for the CD box itself.
Finally, as a last special item, we would like to create a mechanical music box in a hand-crafted wooden case, that will play "The Great Bath". This will be quite expensive to make, but it could be the ultimate collectible item of Turrican music. In fact, there will be only a maximum of 16 made (to honor the 16 bit era) and 6 are already reserved for members of the team (who will pay themselves for them), so that leaves 10 for potential backers. We are adding this item to the $1500 pledge level for an additional perk. I can't wait to get started with the music production and one of the first things is the track that everyone including and above the $5 pledge level will get before the funding campaign ends on June 3rd.

Hiya Jason Rainforest, thx 4 informing me: Just wanted to be sure, so I've included an additional 10$ ... if it wasn't needed, well let it be beneficial to the project. One final thought to Chris: the original amiga game music sound is indeed very important, to me at least: it will be included on the USB-stick, but any (re-)mixes or new tracks having synth-sounds, arrangements, rhythms very close to the original gamesound, would be awesome beyond words. Hi Dominique, you can add $10 to your pledge by going to "Manage your pledge", then just add $10 to your pledge amount. If you're at or above the $100 pledge though, I believe shipping is covered in the pledge, so you don't need to add more (though you can of course add more as a gift to Chris & team),

Hi Chris & every1 involved ... I've only got word on this project today ... For an avid nostalgic AMIGA/TURRICAN-fan, this project is pure delight. Never before did I have a chance to become involved this closely to a project of this magnitude, esp. with one of my favourite gamescore composers: your original "anthology idea" has been made possible by every1 that pledged him-/herself to this project, so big thanks to all of you as well. I've always immensly loved the orginal AMIGA Turrican games & scores, so I'm very happy & proud to contribute my part to this project. Thank YOU for all this great music I've come to love so much over the years, looking forward to upcoming updates and every track/item my pledge will provide me with eventually, esp. the Anthology Box & Vinyl. One minor question though: as I do live in Belgium, how, when or where do we need to pay the 10$ shippingcosts? Congrats again & kind regards, Dominique, Belgium.

Ich verstehe Deine Trauer lieber rschuerken - gerade die Limitierung macht doch aber den Reiz dieses Pledges aus und dürfte für den einen oder anderen ausschlaggebend gewesen sein, diese Option überhaupt erst zu wählen. Noch sind 27 Tage Zeit - vielleicht kommt ja nochmal was alternatives - z.B. ein Pledge mit Turrican-Figur ab 250 Dollar oder sowas... ;-)

I see that some of you already pledged 1500 now for the music box... Please change your pledge to the new 1500 level that I just added if you want that music box, since it needs to stay limited at 10 and the old 1500 level was not. All other awards for that level stay the same.
