We are very excited to announce yet another guest artist who created a special bonus piece for our fourth CD and it is none other than Vince DiCola, who is well-known for his unbelievably cool Transformers (the animated movie) and Rocky IV motion picture scores. As you may know, the C64 version of Turrican contained a piece that was “a little more” than just inspired by Vince DiCola’s work. We are extremely proud and happy that he agreed to be part of this project! Vince and co-artist/partner Kenny Meriedeth have created a powerful piece of music that captures and extends some of Vince's well known melodies and fits right into the world of Turrican. In a way, this collaboration will really round out the Turrican Soundtrack Anthology and is a gift for us as well as all our backers and supporters.

We have finished sending survey requests to all Kickstarter and Paypal supporters Thursday (2 days ago) and you should have gotten an email or message by now. If not, then something may have gone wrong with the email deliveries (please check your spam folder/filter) or some other bug in the message system.

If you have the email or Kickstarter message and have not responded yet, please fill out the survey now, so that we can compile a complete set of shipping data.

In case you didn't get the request, you should still be able to also access your survey from the project page if you log into your account. Otherwise please reply to this update and we will work out a solution.

I pledged through Paypal and didn't get a survey request by email yet:

Paypal only supporters will need to contact us directly if you didn't get the emailed survey (use the contact form on turricansoundtrack.com to send us a message and we will send you the link to the survey again!).

Just a short update and notice about the surveys - we have "started" to send them out, but we can't send them all at once - only by reward level (each level may need its own set of questions) and the paypal pledges will get separate emails a few days later.

Also, a number of our Kickstarter backers had pledged for additional items through paypal and may wonder why the survey doesn't show their total amount pledged. It's because paypal is completely separate from Kickstarter and we are keeping track of the additional pledges manually, so don't be alarmed. For the same reason, you may also get an additional email (or several) if you pledged for additional items through paypal.

Sending out the email surveys for the paypal and additional item backers may take a few more days, but we will write updates about the progress here, so if you may not receive the email you can check if your spam filter may have swallowed the email. Please don't panic and maybe wait a few days before you alert us (though we are of course always available for questions).

A lot has happened In the last 2 weeks - more tracks are finalized and I’m keeping a good pace, but we are also working hard to get all the other rewards ready for manufacturing. 

Thus, the time has finally come to conduct our shipping survey. You should be getting an email during the next week asking you to fill out an online form with your preferred shipping address. Backers of the $200 and higher reward tiers can submit their credit name and select a T-Shirt and size (S-XL/XXL) from the following designs:

In other news, Yuzo Koshiro has finished and delivered a fantastic remix for our vinyl record and we’re planning a preview in the next update, along with our other big surprise that we mentioned the last time, which is not quite ready yet, but will be worth the wait! Please be patient with us.

As you can see, we’re getting closer and closer to the finish line and we’ll be back with more news and updates very soon!

Hi,

yes, I am currently finalizing tracks, which is good news, but it’s still a tedious process and there are so many of them that it’s not time to celebrate just yet. Time is still very tight to get this monster project done and I also had to deal with yet another very unfortunate event a few weeks ago when I was involved in a violent car accident (not my fault) that caused me quite a bit of pain (I could barely move for a while) and I lost more than a few days of working, but I was lucky not to have even more serious injuries!

Nonetheless, I hope and still think it’s going to work out time-wise with our shipping plans.

But for some better news: Holger Lagerfeldt is currently working on the recordings of the original console titles for our USB stick, which should be finished shortly. Also, we have received final artworks for our box set and posters and I have had a photo session for the autograph card, which will be printed soon! 

On other problem fronts, the music box is still not ready for shipping. The movements are done and sound fantastic, but the wooden boxes are handmade, and the first batch did run into some trouble with the staining (kind of a wood paint process), so they’re redoing them to make sure they are the best they can be. But I was assured that I should be receiving them in the next 2-3 weeks and I will definitely send them out as soon as they get here! Meanwhile, here is a picture of the brass plaques, ready to be attached to the boxes:

It’s also really time for the overall shipping survey, which I’m preparing right now with the shipping team to send out shortly - we will send out the Kickstarter backer survey first, and the Paypal backer survey a few days later, but don’t worry, we will keep track of everything and make sure that we reach everyone!

We also have another cool surprise in the next update, which will definitely come sooner than in a month (more like 2 weeks from now) - stay tuned! :)
