Our project is a fun-filled illustrated adventure about two urban chickens, Crimson and Clover, and their friend, Sean the Dog. 

About The Chicken and the Dog
“The Chicken and the Dog” is a 24-page children's book, available in hardcover, softcover and eBook, written by Andre and Amanda Maxwell with illustrations brought to life by Jill Carter. The book is appropriate for ages 3-103. 

The story is about some unlikely friends and their fight against a gang of wily neighborhood raccoons. Based on a true event and true characters, Crimson and Clover are Andre and Amanda's urban chickens. One night, raccoons broke into their coop and stole Crimson, leaving only a pile of feathers. The next day, Andre and Amanda began writing this story, to give their chickens a happier ending with a little help from Sean the dog. This is their story. 

What We'll Do Our goal is to raise enough money to print, distribute and market the book, and publish in multiple languages. The first order of books is printed, ready to ship, and almost sold out. We need additional capital for advertising, publicity...and printing more books! 

We also want to develop more fun-filled games and a mobile app based on the Chicken and the Dog characters. Check out our website at www.chickenandthedog.com to see what we've got started.
