Gumshoes 4 Hire is officially funded!

On behalf of everyone involved with the Gumshoes 4 Hire project, we cannot thank you all enough for making it a success and helping us bring the project to fruition.
The 411:
My goal for the Gumshoes 4 Hire IP and my other IP's told under the TableTaffy umbrella is to make fun, light-hearted, but meaningful content, all the while rekindling what I loved about comics. Whether it be light stories, charming moments, character development, and nonstop adventure. Most of all stories created to be enjoyed by all ages.
Trip Down Cheeky Lane:
I remember reading comics ever since I was yay high. I loved the stories and art obviously, but there was something special and magical in the comics back then that made me feel like I couldn't put them down. Do you remember how Marvel Comics used to have the "Bullpen" section and how comics used to have the fan letter pages? Oh man... I LOVED LOVED LOOOOOVED those just as much as the comic itself because it allowed me to feel engaged with the creative team while reading the "Bullpen" page(s). The letters page was awesome because you got to read and feel how much in common (or not remotely close to having in common hehe) you had with that person writing the letter.
I want to bring that back with our TableTaffy projects. So...this brings me to my next point...The comic PDF is so close to being finished that it ain't even funny. We are down to coloring the last 5 pages. And if we continue to stay on top of the production schedule, we can squeeze in as many emails/letters from you, our beloved backers, for the printed version deadline. I'll also make it available in an updated PDF, but first I'll get you the PDF once the pages are colored.

For now, I've got an all-nighter planned this evening to keep production going for the 2 Gumshoes 4 Hire books. I can't think of a better way to spend the wee hours while momma and baby are sleeping.

You have an amazing style, and have been a true inspiration to my adult son, Matt, who is working on two independent titles. Your mentorship and friendship have been a delight. Thank you for allowing us to share the joy you show when you create your work!
I do have one request. The California creation machine (TV, Movies, Comics) seems to have gotten the idea that every hero must meet a tragic and denigrating end. PLEASE don't do that with the Gumshoes. Make this a story of never-ending triumph against incredible odds. The world already have more than enough despair.
