After an exciting 31 days of raising money, Cheapass Games has now settled into a familiar old routine. Unexploded Cow is in pre-production, Fish Cook is in beta testing, and several other games are jockeying for the next spot on the schedule. Thanks again for bringing us back to life!
Because we're delivering a different piece of art for every cow card, Cheyenne is now cranking on sketches. He's got about 30 days to produce 64 pieces of amazing art, so everyone send blissful, helping thoughts his way.
If you've sponsored a cow, you should have already received a personal email reminding you to tell us (cheapassjames@gmail.com) what you'd like to name it. About 16 of our 28 sponsors have been in contact with us so far. A lot of the stragglers are friends of ours, so we have no reservations about calling your cow whatever we want, if you don't get in touch with us. You know who you are. ;)
Our next game, Fish Cook (also known as Yum Yum Super Fish Delicious) will be posted in a beta-test form at cheapass.com later today. It's a brand new Euro-style board game about chefs cooking fish. It has a back story about being an old French game that was re-published in Japanese, but that's all a lie. The only truth is that it's really fun, and will most likely be a $10 or $12 Cheapass Game hitting stores in March. Download and print the beta version, and help us make this game as good as it can be!
We'll let you know as we add more Cheapass Games to the schedule. You can expect our next big Kickstarter project to launch in February, after Unexploded Cow is printed and shipped.

James,
While I think that waiting until February is a very long time frame between projects, I appreciate the focus and integrity that displays. You are intent on delivering a good product, and want to build trust in your word. I haven't backed Mars needs Mechanics because I don't have Chicken Caesar yet. I did back The Great Heartland Hauling Co., though, in part because they'd delivered one game already.
You do have some advantage in that many gamers remember the earlier Cheapass games and trust you to deliver. Of course, by not starting another until delivery, you ultimately will be reinforcing that trust.

Hi Todd,
We can send one survey to get that information and we don't want to send it till we have the product in hand, ready to ship (so if people move between now and January/February we don't have to chase that info back down). Expect the survey early next year, and in the meantime we will keep everyone up to date with what we are working on!
