About this project

Hi. I'm Chase. I started the Stay at Home Dadcast back in September of 2011 because there is a very narrow selection of podcasts about being a dad and hardly any at all about being one that stays at home. There is a difference between being a stay at home dad and being a dad who is unemployed and who also gave up on looking for employment. The line between the two is often blurred and as I type this sentence I wonder where I'm getting at and why I would include these thoughts on my Kickstarter description in the first place.

Look, I am passionate about podcasts and even though I'm using a broken headset, a microphone from my son's Rock Band game, and an old pair of nylons stretched over a coat hanger for my pop screen filter, I keep making episodes and book entertaining and interesting guests.

I hope my excitement for this project is contagious just enough that others would see the benefit and back me up. My goal is a mere $500. This will cover the new equipment, hosting fees, and a domain name. If you'd like to learn a little bit more about the podcast or myself, read below. Thanks!

About the Stay at Home Dadcast

The Stay at Home Dadcast is a comedy podcast about parenting hosted by Chase Roper - a real life stay at home dad. Think of it as an audio exposition on parenting that is frequently interrupted by his kids.

Recent guests include Hal Rukel, New York Times Best Selling author of “Scream Free Parenting,” and comedian, Eli Braden. Upcoming guests include comedy writer Gene George and actor/comedian/best selling author, Greg Beherendt.

About Chase Roper

Chase Roper is presumably the internet’s only comedy writing, podcasting, stay-at-home-dad. He has had jokes featured in the nationally published celebrity gossip magazine Life&Style, and is a contributing writer for the podcasting network Earwolf.com.

In 2011, Chase launched a comedy podcast for parents called, “The Stay at Home Dadcast.”

At home Chase is often referred to as Husband or Dad, probably on account of having a wife for 13 years and four children.

Also, “bitingly” might not be a real word.
