About this project
Ahoy there!
I am embarking on making a full-length record full of the best songs I've written, bursting with all the things I can't wait for you to hear. There will be fast songs and slow songs and some very personal songs and a few kind of funny ones. It will be about family and loss and hopeful things and love in the midst of impending apocalypse, perhaps at the hands of zombies.
But mostly about Family.
It will be a bit sci-fi (but if we've met much, you probably knew that).
I am pulling every favor I can imagine being pullable to squeeze into amazing studios and use greatly talented players and make it sound amazing, just like we always imagined it would. Right, Brad? The money you contribute will pay the engineers, players, mixers and mastering folks and the artists who work on it here in Nashville, because they deserve it, because they are great at what they do! I've made recordings on a shoestring budget and made some with big budgets, and I've learned that paying people for their work lends everyone involved more dignity. Some of the funds will also go towards the supplies to make the cool goodies I will be sending you. A small portion will go to Kickstarter for helping make this possible, as well as a small portion to the credit card companies because damn the man. I will also be chipping my own money to make it all occur, so we are very literally all in this together ;)
I can't wait to travel all around and hug each of you (or shake your hand firmly, if you prefer). Let's make something Great!

I am a man of the South, Mississippi to be precise. I came of age writing songs in the way that some people grow up fixing cars or reading Sports Illustrated or doing homework.
