About this project
Chaotic Theatre is aiming to produce its funniest, and perhaps silliest production yet. With incorporating Kung-Fu, a few Disney tunes, fake boobs and some bright red lipstick, we think we can do it. Chaotic is beginning its 3rd season with this production and knows it will be a hit, and a great kick off to the rest of the 2011-2012 calendar. Austin is booming with creativity more than ever, and with that, patrons are increasing.
We are raising funds so we can afford the necessities. While art is flourishing, the artistic economy is still limping and doing triple back-flips for quarters. Venue rentals are up. Materials are up. Life is up. It's the natural state of things, it seems.
We've been fortunate enough to attain the venue (The Off Center) and pay the costly amateur ("lover of") licensing fee.
We need:
-Props (lipstick to mechanical dinosaurs) and 2 Lightsabers!
-Costumes (Silly wigs to Ursula (Bad guy in Little Mermaid) tentacles)
-Basic marketing and advertising capabilities. So people come see it!
-Materials for set construction. (Paint, nails, and screws, as everything else is recycled!)
Everything of course is being done with as much recyclables as possible, and with pure (volunteered) time and energy.
Help us get that "perfect pair of Juliet's" (a man wearing obviously fake, gigantic boobs), to the paint and wood and nails and man power to make creativity and art come to Life enabling us to share it with the community! (Gasp for air, reapply lipstick)
What can be better than watching a man, dressed as woman, try to kiss his friend, who doesn't want to embarrass him/her, but doesn't want to admit that if he had a few more beers, he might take the smooch?
Help Othello bust a rap while being backed up by his hommies.
Help Macbeth get schooled by Ursula.
Help Chaotic Theatre create a six-pack making comedy.
