Hi Everyone!

Wanted to bring you up to speed on 3 things.

Read this section if you're having serious Crashing Issues or Your Thumbnails went missing:

- We've received several e-mails from users who were experiencing serious crashing issues.  And a couple of others reported that even though their seconds were all intact on each date, the thumbnails on the calendar had disappeared.  We've been working with them to figure this all out and it seems that these are both connected.  And they are isolated to users who downloaded the very first version of the App when it first released.

We've been having success with our fix so far, but we could use several more users to help us out testing the new build of the App before we send it to Apple for approval.

If you're experiencing these issues, please message me directly through here on Kickstarter with a brief description of which issue it is and the best e-mail address to reach you with a test invite.  Ideally the one you open through your iPhone.

We're only allowed a limited number of testers through Apple unfortunately, so I can't promise that I'll be able to reach everyone.

ANDROID Update:

The champs at TouchLab here in NYC are almost done!  I've been Beta Testing it for a couple of weeks and so far so good!

There's still a lot of finishing touches and testing to do, but the App totally works great right now on my Nexus 4 aside from some features that are still a work in progress.  

As with the iPhone version, the App will be able to see any videos already on your phone, so there's no need to wait for it.  Start recording every day!  Select your seconds when the App is complete.

I can't give you a date yet (I wish I could), but I promise it'll be as soon as possible.

AGE 31

Starting on the very last second of my original 1 Second Everyday - Age 30 video... I started keeping the video I shot every day for my second of the day, on my camera roll on my iPhone.  At the time I wasn't even remotely close to getting an iPhone App off the ground.  But I knew that was my plan.  My post "year off" mission was to build an App for 1SE.  No clue how, but I was determined.  So I kept all those videos on my phone so that someday... if I somehow managed to actually build an App, I could make my Age 31 video entirely on my own App.  The ultimate test that the App does what it was intended to do.  To make it possible for anyone to do the 1 Second Everyday project for themselves.

When I shot that demo of the App that shows the App in action, I shot it on my own iPhone 4S.  While I was actually selecting my actual seconds of that day.  I've made few changes since then.  And my transition to an iPhone 5 when it came out was seamless.

After nervously putting it off for several weeks, last month I decided it was time to Mash my seconds.  After 5 minutes of Mashing, voila!  Another year of my life viewable to relive in 6 minutes.  Amazing considering it takes 1 hour of rendering in Final Cut Pro to compile it.  Editing 365 HD videos together on a "phone".  We live in the future.

- First off, THANK YOU for your continued support!  I try my best to keep up w/ all the daily love the project gets and it gives me profound joy to watch the compilations some of you are sharing with me :)

- Speaking of compilations, I recently asked permission to share this one on the Facebook & Twitter feeds for 1SE :) THEO

- On Friday Apple approved our latest update for the App, which addressed several issues that we had been working on.  Including a fix for the dreaded "March 10th missing" that some users experienced.  It was due to Daylight Savings Time.  Live and learn!

- I know that we have a long way to go to make the App all that it can be, and we're working hard to figure out how to best make the 1SE experience easy/fast/awesome. I'm having to learn a lot as quickly as possible, but I'm as determined as ever to fulfill my aspirations for this idea.  

- We have so many users now, that we're having a problem keeping up with our support e-mail.  If it wasn't for the hard work & dedication of our intern Jordan McDaniel , we would've been totally screwed.  Rest assured that we do eventually read/get to everything.  And deeply appreciate your suggestions.  And by next week I should have some better support setup so that we can address things exponentially faster.

- In all my communications to you, I've never once asked you to rate the App on the App store.  I personally hate when Apps I use continuously insist that I please rate them.  But there's a reason they do it.  It works.  Our recent battles keeping up with support has lead to users giving us a poor rating.  So hopefully just this once, I'd like to ask you that if you're having a good experience with the App, please take 20 seconds to rate us on the App Store:  DIRECT LINK (SUPER THANK YOUS!)

- The Kickstarter Credits for backers tiers $5+ are finally on the App!  It was a harder task than it sounds.  The surveys that I sent out on launch day have been really slow to come back.  In fact I still get several every day.  So if your name is missing, please message me directly here from the 1SE Kickstarter page and we'll fix it.  We DON'T have to update the App again to add names to the Credits:

- Now that the Kickstarter Backer Credits are there, I'll get started on the Private Facebook Group for the $10+ Backers.  And then I'll keep making my way up the rest of the Rewards!  I apologize that I haven't been able to fulfill them faster.  But I promise I will fulfill them all.

- ANDROID USERS:  Things are moving along great!  We still have a lot of work to do but I was at TouchLab on Friday playing around w/ an early build.  Created this 6 second Vine video to give you a glimpse!  

- it's Hard to believe we only launched 10 weeks ago... and only 2 weeks after the completion of the Kickstarter campaign.  Feels like lifetimes ago.  I know we still have a long way to go to make this App all it can be, so I seriously appreciate your continued support on this journey.  Sometimes the daily hurdles of this endeavor can really get me down.  But then I receive a touching message from a user whose been wonderfully affected by the App and I'm reminded that this is all worth the struggle.  As that saying goes "A smooth sea never made a skillful sailor".

Good evening 1SE friends!

It's honestly hard to believe that 2 months ago, I had NOT even launched the Kickstarter for 1SE yet.  Meanwhile we've already been featured by the App Store for a week, and we already submitted our third update (V1.03) for approval!

Tonight it brings me great joy to announce that 1SE for ANDROID in underway!  

I was lucky enough to have the BEST iPhone devs in NYC, Alchemy50, collaborate with me to bring my vision of the 1SE App into existence.  Without their passion & talent, this App would likely still be a wishful dream of mine.  I owe them a life debt.  

And now I'm lucky enough to have the BEST Android devs in NYC!  After the Kickstarter campaign was funded (in just a week!), I started the process of seeking out Android devs and looking at all my options.  After all, I want to make this idea available to everyone!  Literally every human being in NYC said that I should speak to TouchLab.  And much like the first time I met with Alchemy50, they instantly earned my trust and respect after our first meeting.  I feel extremely fortunate that TouchLab will be bringing 1SE to Android.

In order to comply with Google's Android design guidelines, we'll be making very minor adjustments to the design that Alchemy50 & I developed.  Most notably, the App will also be able to rotate vertically since some Android phones have a physical keyboard (pictured above).

I'll send you guys notable updates on our progress as they arise.  In the meantime please be patient. :)

MASSIVE THANK YOU to all the Android Backers who pledged in good faith, even though I expressed that I couldn't make any definitive promises during the month long campaign.  I look forward to delivering you the App as soon as possible!

Hi 1SE-ers!

After over a week of patience, Apple has finally approved our Update!  HOORAY!!!!

Update Version 1.02 is already showing up here in the US Store, so I'm assuming it'll show in all international iTunes stores very soon if not already:

If you can, take a moment to read the "What's New" section so you'll see we fixed many of the bugs some users reported to us since we launched less than 2 weeks ago.

Since Thursday the 1SE App has been featured on the Front Page of the App Store! And they even wrote their own review!
