Loving the same gender should not diminish one's humanity or access to equal rights.

Through Gay Eyes promotes real and valid equality for all.

THROUGH GAY EYES is different. It captures people representing various age and ethnic groups, and presents them as human beings, not just gay people.

This documentary focuses on the essence of LGBT people, and not the stereotypes and protests that mainstream society attaches to them.

We will honor them - and the veracity of their voices - via the editing process and post-production of Through Gay Eyes.

We Need Your Help

Our goal with "Through Gay Eyes" is to make it the best it can be and to reach as large an audience as possible. In order to do this, we need your help. Our first Kickstarter was focused on funding the cost of "Production" (recording interviews). Thanks to over 100 donations, we were able to successfully reach our goal and film over a dozen interviews. By donating to this Kickstarter, you are helping us with:

  • Hiring a professional music composer to craft a unique film score.
  • Having the audio adjusted and mixed to perfection.
  • Getting a color grader to adjust the color scheme to fit the tone of the film.
  • Giving us the opportunity to enter "Through Gay Eyes" into numerous film festivals around the world.

What You Get

Donating to “Through Gay Eyes” has its perks - literally! In return for donating, you can get exclusive "behind the scenes" updates from the director and producer on the progress of the documentary, a DVD copy and digital download once it’s finished, a 13.5” by 20” movie poster, free tickets to the private movie screening, and more!

Risks and challenges Learn about accountability on Kickstarter

Every film and documentary has potential obstacles, including "Through Gay Eyes." However, we will do our best to make sure we don't have speed bumps along the way.

Our biggest challenge at this time is making sure everything stays on schedule. At the moment, everything is timed perfectly. But, if one step is delayed, that backs everything else up. If that happens, the completion date will need to be pushed back, causing a delay in shipping the donation rewards. But, we're very confident everything will go according to plan.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. Thank you for your support.
