CatchKuma: Who are we?

We are Catchkuma, a small internet culture based brand that started last year by college students, which focused on creating one original and high quality product to test if our idea would work. Our goal last year was to pick one meme and create a solid product out of it, which was a huge success. Through our experience of creating a fashion product through scratch, we notice that other internet brands that attempt the same concept use horrible quality that are premade through a wholesale website. For this reason, the products end up looking horrible, with a very low quality result. We want to keep our products original and high quality made here in the USA.

Why do we need help?

By introducing the world’s first original internet culture based fashion, we want to create it right here in the USA. However by doing so, creating our product requires a minimum order cost from factories which are very high in quantity. In order for us to create our new products to share with you guys, we need your help.

Internet culture icons and memes are seen everyday through our social media and internet browsing. Furthermore by observing our great internet culture, we decided to take it in a fashion sense. We want to create great accessories and fashion products that everyone can brag about, yet more importantly, something you guys can make happen and see them first.

Our Project’s Product Line

 

 

 

KeyCharms and Keychains

We have planned custom original keycharms and keychains of all your favorite internet characters, and we want to start with at least one. To start, we want to start with our “Cuddlebear” character. Depending on how many people donate, we want to expand to longcat, meme faces, ceiling cat, and much more.

Hats, Socks, Handbags, Tote bags, T-Shirts Galore

Since everyone enjoyed the Cuddlebear hat, we wanted to create other characters with the same hat concept; we wanted to aim for longcat. Aside from hats, imagine other custom meme products. We wanted to create longcat socks, as well with a fashionable custom meme tote bag to go with it with our own design.

Gym-Wear

Lastly, the product that is on our production list is meme gym wear, perfect for looking different than the rest and showing a serious fashion statement. We have designs in mind that lack the funding to make it happen.

Sculptures

The studio we are using also has the ability to create life size figurines. By request in the future, we can create any meme as a real life sculpture with the appropriate funding, we would love to show the internet community this product if possible by you guys!

What Makes Us Different?

By staying different, we choose to work with studios and factories that will only use handmade production with minimal machinery. Having everything handmade and customized really says something about us and how our products look at the end. 

For our first product, we only used the softest and newest materials. This is Cuddle Fleece, the same material used in Snuggies. We researched hard to decide on what our first product would be made of.

 

 After choosing which material we wanted, we supplied the studio we used with our pattern and material to create our first product.

What Products Will Be Made First?

If we can meet our goal, we can start producing our key chains, key charms, and our meme tote bags. We need funds to cover the minimum required production costs.

If We Exceed Our Goal

If we could exceed our goal, we will release all the products we mentioned in this kickstarter, as well as more we had already planned.
