Kickstarter

Ever since our project closed, I've been daydreaming about sending individual thank you letters to all who pledged, especially as many of you are friends and family that I haven't spoken to in awhile. I wanted to express how meaningful each and every one of you are to me, not only in terms of this project but in the bigger scheme of things as well! While I still hope to do this, I don't think a more general 'thank you' can wait any longer.

We raised $5500, nearly three times our original goal, which astounds Dad and me. In fact Dad wrote a long thank you letter for me to post here, but I've made him shorten it to this: THANK YOU! Which really says it all.

In the meantime, I'm acquiring final quotes from printers and am working on a website design, which we hope to launch by Father's Day (see the design preview below). I'll also be contacting each pledger for mailing addresses some time soon.

• Thank you John Kane for naming Beto's dog – The name "Bean" or "Frijole" in Spanish seemed to jump out at us. Dad liked it because the dog looks like a little bean. I liked it because of the expression "full of beans" used when someone has lots of energy, which is certainly characteristic of Beto's dog. Thanks John!
