Why would you still support this project when the minimum goal has been reached? Because the minimum goal is just that -- the minimum I had to raise to get any of this funding at all, and therefore I didn't want to set the goal too high. I'm super-grateful for the $10,000+ we have managed to raise so far -- it's incredibly helpful. The expenses we need to cover however are closer to twice that. I don't expect to raise that kind of money in just a few more days but every bit helps so, if you like the trailer please support the campaign. THE FILM Based on the novel by Andy Zeffer, "Going Down in LA-LA Land" is a candid, sexy, and outrageously funny look at what and actor can -- and will do -- to survive in Hollywood. This dark comedy takes a riveting and uncensored look at our celebrity-obsessed culture and some people's need to be loved, adored, and adulated at any cost! OUR GOAL "Going Down in LA-LA Land" is almost finished and it will have its world premiere as the Closing Night film at the Miami Gay & Lesbian Film Festival on May 1st. Other upcoming screenings confirmed are Opening Night at the Rainbow Film Festival in Honolulu, and the gay film festivals in Milan, Zurich and Boston, also in May. Many more festivals will be announced very soon. After its festival run, we are also planning to take the films to select theaters and release it on DVD and VOD.

Like our other films "Going Down in LA-LA Land" was made on a very low budget, thanks to an amazing and hardworking cast and crew. Casper is the writer, director and producer of "Going Down in LA-LA Land". He also co-stars as the character Nick.
Originally from Sweden, Casper lived in Chicago and Paris before settling in New York City to study acting and directing.
In 2003 Casper wrote, directed, and produced the short film "Mormor's Visit" as well as his first feature, the romantic comedy "Slutty Summer" in which he also stars.
In 2006, Casper directed and produced the multi-award winning feature "A Four Letter Word". His third feature, the drama "Between Love & Goodbye", enjoyed a successful festival run and opened in theaters early 2008. Casper's fourth film, "The Big Gay Musical", was released in theaters the same year and went on to become a bestseller on DVD and VOD.
In 2010, Casper premiered the comedy "Violet Tendencies" at festivals and in theaters. In addition to producing and directing, Casper co-stars.
Casper wrote "Going Down in LA-LA Land" based on Andy Zeffer's novel by the same name.
As an actor, Casper has also appeared on stage (Hamlet in "Hamlet", Romeo in "Romeo & Juliet"), TV ("The Late Show", "As the World Turns"), and film ("Little Children", "Celebrity"). In 2008, he was selected as one of the 100 most influential and newsworthy GLBT people by Out Magazine.
