About this project

We are Accordion Crimes.  We might be your favorite band, we might be new to you. Either way, we've recorded our debut album "Songs to Drive Wives Away" and need you to make pressing it onto vinyl a reality! We are relying on our wonderful fans to pledge their support for the manufacturing of 2 different amazing limited editions on colored vinyl, in addition to the standard black vinyl and digital formats. The songs have been recorded over the past year and now is the time to bring them to life. We've picked our top seven songs and we know you'll love them as much as we do!

We even have a special guest appearance by Denver's amazing Land Lines on one of the album tracks!

Your support will cover the basics and make it possible for you to have the most important part finished first - the music. All funds will go straight into pressing this album. Any extra funds will go into additional promotion and bonuses for our backers as we hit new goals. 

In short, we'll be able to deliver a much better album to YOU, our fans.

So how does a new album get made? Well, mastering and pressing music can get pricey but we've got enough experience that we know what to expect and how to make the most of our time and resources. We came up with a plan & budget so you know exactly where proceeds from the fundraiser will go. It's all for mastering & pressing costs!

What is mastering you ask?  It is the process where our music gets transferred from digital recording files to a lacquer disc.  This lacquer is used to create the metal stamper from which a vinyl record is pressed.  

Why did we choose Bob Weston and Chicago Mastering Service to make our masters you ask?  Well, Bob is the best at his craft, and his expertise in working with some of our favorite bands (Shellac, Rodan, Shipping News, Rachel's and Volcano Suns to name only a few!) and his ability to capture the cleanest reproduction to vinyl is second to none!

Why are we pressing records at United you ask?  United is one of America's longest operating and most trusted sources for pressing vinyl.  Their capabilities in manufacturing a quality finished product have been proven since 1949!  It would be impossible to operate a vinyl record press in a city with as much of a rich musical heritage as Nashville, TN for over 60 years without being extraordinary at what they do.

A donation of $50 or more will get you your own personal test pressing courtesy of United Record Pressing in Nashville!

For a donation of $250 or more we'll even record any song of your choosing by any band on the planet for you to keep as your own personal digital download!

We know times are hard for everyone and being an artist in this climate is a challenge...but we truly love doing this and want to give you an amazing album. Please think about what music means to you and contribute what you can, even if that means $1. Every single penny will go straight into pressing unique limited edition VINYL copies for you to enjoy!
